Toxic gas, ash plumes, lava fountains, earthquakes, and talks of imminent major eruption. Dozens of homes destroyed, and thousands of residents displaced. It's not a good time to be in Hawaii right now. |

Yeah, it's awful. My very good friend lives there. He was supposed to come for our annual boys trip but is stuck, literally. There is only one road out where they are, 5 mile from fissures, and it is basically reserved for emergency evacuations. The 6.9 quake wrecked their stuff and was the craziest time.
That side of the island is strange, it has the poorest locals than anywhere else in the country surround by rich retired people, all living on an active volcano. And we call it paradise. |
