I’m in Chapel Hill for the game tomorrow night. Any can’t miss restaurant spots in Chapel Hill? I’m with my two boys so the ideal would be somewhat kid friendly with an option to try a local beer or two.
We are staying right off Franklin Street near downtown. |

Top of the Hill is on Franklin and sounds like the right type of place.
It should be fine if your kids are old enough to hang at bar and grille type spots. |

Concur. This is probably a classic "don't overthink it" situation. Top of the Hill has local beer, is big and kid-friendly, and looks over the main intersection on Franklin Street. If you came by a lot, then maybe you could look into more hidden gems. But just enjoy the food and beer at Top of the Hill. |

+1 to the timely recommendations. A silly curated list of other Chapel Hill/Carrboro food recommendations...
Baklava: Mediterranean Deli Bar food: Linda's BLTs: Merritt's Burritos, bespoke: Carrburritos Burritos, budget: Cosmic Cantina (heresy: Durham's has better ambiance) Lots of nicer restaurants on/near Franklin, too, but my exposure was limited with a student's budget. |

We ended up at Top of the Hill for dinner.
Had a great breakfast at the Carolina Coffee Shop one morning and a biscuit at a place called Rise another morning. Really enjoyed the town. |

Great choices. There is no shortage of places to get good biscuits in town.
