Paradox announced Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2
This was one of the biggest cult-favorite games of all time, so much so that a thriving mod scene still exists for the game 15 years later.
Direct sequel to the first game Q1 2020 PC/X1/PS4 Home | VtM: Bloodlines 2

This is apparently big news-I've seen about 5 tweets about it in the last 10 minutes

Yup. As I said, this is one of the few games that survived 16 years because it was so ambitious, and fell just short, but there was SO MUCH THERE, that it inspired generations.
The game is $5 on Humble (GET THE COMMUNITY PACK IF YOU BUY IT) It has some of the creepiest supernatural scenes I've ever seen.

Remember to pre-order on Steam from the website today to lock in standing for the class-action suit when Epic ups the bribe amount to go exclusive!
In all seriousness, I'm really pumped for this, and hope this revives interest on Paradox's part for a grand-strategy style game set in the WW universe. |

This is one of those games that I've never played, but read enough adjacent articles about it that I was kind of fascinated by it. In a way I was always afraid to actually play it, because it wasn't likely to be as interesting as my half-informed fantasy.
I always like to see Paradox get their hand on exciting properties, because you at least know they're going to respect that property for its appeal and try to put out something interesting, complex and deep. They're kind of like the modern Microprose.

So vampires should be available sometime around the third or fourth DLC then?

Conviently enough, Bloodlines 1 is 75% off or $5 at GoG.com right now.

Heh, just picked it up for five bucks. Never played the original. Kicked it off last night.
(And yes, I installed the patches) |

Exactly same situation, I love the vampire environment, but I'm afraid to buy it, see really outdated graphics even not being a graphic junky and be disappointed.
