May 5, 6 – 1st Round of Playoffs
May 9 – 2nd Round of Playoffs – We play winner of the first round
May 17 – FA Trophy Final, Neutral
May 26th – Playoff Final, Neutral

FC Halifax defeats Grimsby Town 2-1. Maidstone over Fylde 3-0.

In the playoffs, we get Maidstone, and Leyton Orient hosts FC Halifax. We host because we have the highest seed, so the 2nd place finish can help.

Today we host Maidstone. I respect my foes too much to make any major changes, and I begin balanced. 15 minutes ebbs off, and they have initial advantages. I ease back to cautious. With 6 fouls already, they get a card at the 19th. 28th minute, another card for them. Our foes are starting to slow down. They are down to 60% condition near the end of the 1st half as they pushed early, and played just three days ago. I up my temp to max around the 35th minute to push them now. Nothing. Half. I’m not happy with that!

We open up the 2nd half with some scoring. Shihab gives up an OG on a corner. Then in the 53rd?

We score again to make it 2-1. I don’t care how ugly it is when we win, as long as we win. I remain cautious. Moore with card. I tell him to ease up. That’s the one thing we don’t need right now. I remain full throttle at pace, and they have begun to drop to 50s in some places to my 70s.

And then we push into another quick score, and we are now outpacing our foes, and doing so while I remain at cautious. I send in Corbridge. They score in the 79th. But don’t worry, my lads have this

Sylvestre for Moore. Bedford for Blanchfield. We have 5 minutes of stoppage time. They score, we win 4-3. MOM is Fejiri.

Tottenham defeat ManUtd to win the FA Cup.

FA Trophy Final!

In a neutral location here in London at Wembley, I begin cautious. I respect my foe too much not too. Logan scores quickly!

Nice way to open up stuff. And then…they just take over and beat us 3-1. We were never in this match.

Congrats to Grimsby Town.

Now on to the real game.

Go out there, set this stuff aside. I begin cautiously. Vengeance!

As you can see, Heardman kicks this game off nicely! Good job Tom. He leaped on top of a loose ball and scored a solo strike in the upper right corner of the goal in a 1:1 vs their keeper. But these folks are professional. They are good. They score not once, but twice over the next few minutes to put us down. But’s that’s okay! My folks are pros too!

Such as, say, Fejiri! Kebbie dribbled and sailed over a nasty cross to him as fellows on the attack, and got that sweet sweet score. Great job!

Half time. Keep it up, and you can win this thang. Destiny awaits.

And then Fejiri feeds Browne on an attack run just a few mnutes into the half. Again, we got this.

I send in Corbridge and Devlin.

In the 73rd, Heardman again knocks goal through, this time a shot that was stopped by the GK but then not held, and he puts it away.

But they are pros too, and they keep coming. In extra time, they hit a Moore OG off a DFK. But we hold. Destiny will not be silenced today.

Note that the stats were relatively even, few fouls and no cards as we both played clean. We just sunk a few more shots today than they did. Heardman was MOM with 2 goals.

League Stats:

Heardman’s 36 goals was 9 more than 2nd place. He also led in avg minutes per goal as well. He was 2nd most in # of shots, Logan was 7th. He was 1st in most shots on target, but just 15th in % of shots in target. He was 7th in conversion rate.

Logan was 3rd in assists at 12. Browne was 4th at 11. Ashby had 9 assists.

Logan was 7th in key passes, and Ashby 11th

Blanchfield was 1st in pass completion %. Ashby was 6th and Logan 7th

Browne was 2nd in dribbles/game.

Shihab was 2nd in key tackles

Heardman was 1st in key headers

Yves was 8th in goals conceded, 9th in clean sheets, 2nd in saves parried
