So some very interesting results from round 1.
Here is how the eliminated songs broke down by decade (this was a quick calculation - so don't hold me to these numbers): - 50s - 2 of 8 eliminated - 60s - 30 of 47 eliminated - 70s - 31 of 72 eliminated - 80s - 28 of 93 eliminated - 90s - 32 of 82 eliminated - 00s - 4 of 7 eliminated - 10s - 1 of 1 eliminated The highest ranked song to fall - 7. Terry Jacks - Seasons in the Sun Lowest ranked song still in the tourney - 263. The Big Bopper - Chantilly Lace The 16 polls averaged 43.5 voters...with a high of 50 (done twice) and a low of 37. In round 2, I'm going to change the tiebreaker method, rather than removing my vote, I'm going to turn it over to the family, and allow them to vote. Just posting this for transparency...
