Holy Good Lord (spider-man 2 trailer)

Sorry if it has been posted before, but for those of you that are even remotely into comic or liked the first Spider-man movie...

Watch The Trailer!

All I can say is that it is possibly the greatest trailer I've ever seen.

well, that's 2 strikes against me.

I have to say, the fact that people liked the first one so much is simply mind-boggling to me.

Not the greatest trailor ever...but it was a good one.

On the same subject, I watched a couple of the old Friday the 13th movies (1-3) this week. Damn, they did NOT know how to make trailers back then. These things were horrendous!

Shouldn't we be calling this a modular download instead of a trailer?

Nah.... I'm a Redskins fan... although my wife is a Vikings fan...

Anyhow, it's not really a "trailer..." it's more of a "triple-wide modular home." But, hey, at one point, it was on the back of a semi.

The trailer for Troy with Brad Pitt is UNBELIEVABLY GOOD. The opening shot shows a Roman Galleon, then pans out to reveal about 2000 other galleons in the water. One of the coolest shots i've seen in a while, CGI or not. Reminds me of Civilization 3, which I love.

It looks as good as Gladiator or better.

Don't know if its online for viewing yet.

Yeah, I saw the Troy trailer a little while back in the movies... I think it was right before "Master and Commander." Great visual effect... definately sold the movie for me.

I must ask you all to stand back... I just watched the Spider-Man 2 trailer, and it gave me a hard-on.

For me (a huge comic book junkie), the first movie was almost perfect. The only thing that spoiled it a bit was the fact that the Green Goblin looked too plastic and goofy for me.

This doesn't appear to be a problem with the sequel - as Doctor Octopus looks a hell of a lot better than he ever did in the comics, and definately more realistic than the Green Goblin.

Somebody turn the QOTM back on... I need a kleenex...

awe man....cmon franklin, now I've agreesd with you TWICE in the same freaking day.....

Spider man was almost perfect as he said, but the first movie of any comic book story is gonna have problems, they damn near aced the first test, SM2 looks like its going to blow the curve of comic based movies forever.

Can't wait to see that one.

Not trying to be "that guy", but is it me or does the car change position in that trailer several times. It's facing one way in one shot, then it's turned 90 degrees, then its tire is a foot off the floor, then in the very next shot it's upside down...

Never mind, I do sound like that guy.

It sounds kind of like the theme to 1492, although I don't think that's it. Maybe Gladiator?

With trailers like this, the music is almost always from some other movie.

Exactly. The first one was just perfect in my eyes. Well, besides the part about him naturally shooting web. That's the only part I didn't like, but I can live with, since the rest of the movie was just great. Spider-Man 2 looks even better.

i am NOT impressed by that spiderman trailer. i've had enough of CGI. when is Hollywood gonna get it? people are gonna get tired of paying $10+ to watch what are essentially cartoons. i've only seen CGI done well twice. TWICE out of every movie i've ever seen - Yoda in Attack of the Clones, and Gollum, in LOTR. that's all.

i liked that Alamo trailer better, on my "to-see" list.

i just love it when i see a trailer and i start counting the days till i can own the movie on DVD. so far (aside from obvious movies like ROTK) it's happened with Troy (one of the greatest shots i've ever seen, with all those ships) and now with Alamo.

and maybe they could have done up Doc Octopus to seem even more dorky.

a guy with cheesy goggles, bad hair and 4 mechanical arms...? no costume?

i was disappointed at Green Goblin (the way poor voice they used for him and his costume), i guess i should have expected as much for Doc Oc.

but it doesn't matter. the studios decide which movies will be successful. even if the movie was bad the studios make it so that people see it. it doesn't matter.

maybe that's why the 2 Matrix sequals failed to live up to the hype. there weren't many people who weren't gonna watch them, so the need to make those as good as the first Matrix was low. same goes for Star Wars prequels. thats why Lucas is allowed to shit all over his own franchise, they're built in blockbusters. doesn't matter.

Just listened. It is indeed the main theme from Gladiator as someone else mentioned.

I saw the Spidey 2 trailer when I went to see the LOTR movie the other day.

I really enjoyed the first one and will be in line (Lord willing) to see the second one.

GO SPIDERMAN!

Mary Jane looks great too!
