Starting a YouTube channel - Utah Trout Fishing Related
So BYU14 pitched the idea to me about 3 years ago, and it has always been in my head. This year with the increase in fishing I have been doing and the lack of non Fly Fishing channels in Utah, I figured I would take a stab at it.
I fish every Saturday / Sunday so I can generate 4 - 5 hours of content once a week, plus some tackle unboxing and tutorials. It's more of a way to try and monetize a hobby of mine - as I enjoy it all. My first content will go up on Friday night - Nothing great, just an about me and the channel type video and then a mystery tackle box unboxing. Saturday I am hitting a river and a lake and that should go up on Sunday. I chose a catchy name - and something I can potentially monetize in some gear in the future. So thanks to BYU14 for planting the idea, and to anyone else - if you want - follow along. Fishing Llama

Awesome thank you! It's going to be fun - We will always catch something (It's rare we get skunked). The hope is to keep creating content that is awesome and fun and covering quite a few different lakes, rivers and streams here in Utah.

Thanks guys, I just went with a live stream, not the best but I wanted to get a piece of content on the channel so others subscribe.
In our move all my GoPro stuff was lost so I had to order more. Chances are, this first live video will be archived quickly as I get used to doing this.

I subscribed. When you get rich off of it, dry freeze some freshly caught Rainbow and mail it my way please. That was so good when we would go to my parents cabin in CO and catch trout in the morning and eat it for dinner.

Subbed. I have done a good bit of trout fishing, though it has never been my favorite type. Good luck!

My dumb Facebook feed doesn't show me a lot of my friend's posts and didn't realize all the hiking and nature-y things you've done, including fishing. It's great you're doing something no one is doing in your neck of the woods.
I also subscribed. Best of luck!!

Thanks again everyone!
All I can say is video editing software has drastically changed since I last used it. I have an unboxing video I need to edit. I then finally figured out my GoPro somewhat. Today was the first trip, recorded about 23 clips - I would say I can only use half of them and then my battery died before we transitioned from the river to the lake - Which I didn't think would happen but I forgot to turn the GoPro off on a long stretch of rough water I didn't record on. I now need to edit that too. So tomorrow, after I take my amazing wife (Who thinks I am crazy but is 100% supporting me on this) hiking, I get to spend the day editing. I am also preparing for a 2nd trip, this will be a lake trip for the morning of the 3rd.
