3 x 12 pack rolls for me plus what's already out so said 40+. Much better prepared this time.

Several leading grocery chains are reimposing limits on key items such as toilet paper, paper towels and disinfecting wipes, hoping to keep their shelves stocked and prevent shoppers from hoarding as they did when the pandemic began in the spring.

At Kroger (KR), customers can purchase a maximum of two items when it comes to products like bath tissue, paper towels, disinfecting wipes and hand soap. A spokesperson said in an email that the limits began earlier this week and apply in stores and online.

Christopher Brand, a spokesperson for Giant, a grocery chain in the Northeast, said that the company was "seeing little evidence of stockpiling, and there is no need to create panic." But since the supply chain "remains challenged," Giant began last week putting a limit of one on purchases of larger toilet paper and paper towel sizes and four on smaller toilet paper and paper towel sizes.

If there are no supply issues, why stock up, why ask the question? There is no issue if everyone acts normally, it doesn’t matter whether you have one or ten, you should have enough.

I did notice some limits on paper products recently, but oddly enough Cat litter seems to be in short supply here. Had to go to three stores and then settle for another brand because the one I usually use wasn't there.

H-E-B shoppers need to look out for purchasing limits on certain products the next time they go grocery shopping.

H-E-B announced purchasing limits for toilet paper and paper towels for only its Central Texas stores, including stores in San Antonio, Gulf Coast, and Border areas.

H-E-B said purchasing limits help stabilize their supply chain and to ensure items are available to customers. Their stores restock daily.

The product limitations were implemented last Saturday. Shoppers are temporarily limited to only two packs of toilet paper and two packs of paper towels per transaction

We are already here at the second wave so not sure what is going on? Why would they expect panic buying or hoarding?

Probably true.

Infection rates are obviously rising (and the Biden celebrations won't help). Deaths are too, hovering around 1,000 and rising vs peak of 2,200+.

Biden and his task force can only do so much until inauguration day but have great hopes that his task force will project transparency & competency and help us in the next 2.5 months.
