For those that have played, what's better? College football or basketball?

Well at some point the anniversary numbers will get too high to be a sale so we will have to start going backwards then - you might get that $2 sale yet!

If anyone is bored we're going to attempt our first ever Twitch stream at 2PM EST. It might be good, it might be hilariously bad. Either way you might be entertained.

Is there easy to find real rosters and historical rosters for the pro game? I think the thing that bugged me about the pro game was there was a time where every player I drafted had low or no endurance has that been fixed ( this was a previous version years ago btw)?

Young players do tend to start with lower endurance than they will end up with which IMO makes sense - they're coming from a totally different world in college hoops but it does rise after training camp.

Mods are very easy to find on our forum and players are built into the default again. Try the free demo and if you enjoy it just nab it from the store later tonight for only $14

I can best help you at Support : Wolverine Studios but two things to quickly ask/check. 1. Did you install the latest version of .NET when it asked and 2. can you right click and run the game as admin?

In order to better help if neither of those do it open up a ticket and give me some more detail like what you mean by "start" - does it crash as soon as you double click the exe? Do you see any screens etc...

I was never prompted to install .NET. I'm a developer so I probably already have the latest version. Running as admin worked and I am able to launch the basketball game now. Thanks.

I did see an issue in the CFB game though. Played the first week then went to Association Media -> Highlights -> Week Highlights and then pressed the play button in the Highlight Controls. An error message popped up and I was able to retrieve this error from the C:\Users\..\Documents\Wolverine Studios\DDSCF 2020\DDSCFLog.txt file:

I did see an issue in the CFB game though. Played the first week then went to Association Media -> Highlights -> Week Highlights and then pressed the play button in the Highlight Controls. An error message popped up and I was able to retrieve this error from the C:\Users\..\Documents\Wolverine Studios\DDSCF 2020\DDSCFLog.txt file:

Again I can give you a couple ideas but if they don't work please open a support ticket so I can especially get this one in the hands of the FB guys.

Things to try - run as admin, see if firewall/AV is blocking, stop syncing of Documents/Wolverine Studios/DDSPF20 folder to OneDrive if using

Mods are very easy to find on our forum and players are built into the default again. Try the free demo and if you enjoy it just nab it from the store later tonight for only $14
I'll buy, if you get time will you explain the nuance of the scoring and shooting ratings to me a bit so that I understand what I'm evaluating better.

Going to copy and paste my standard reply to this question (the answer was in reply to DDSCB but the ratings work the same in DDSPB). If you need more detail feel free to ask.

The scoring rating is the player's ability to put the ball in the basket. Nothing to do with whether or not he can do it efficiently - just strictly can he get shots and put the ball in the basket. A player with a low scoring rating but high percentage ratings just means he's a guy who scores efficiently when he can but that he cannot get much offense (cannot get open, cannot create his own shot etc)

The inside scoring rating takes into account all scoring "inside" aka the paint. This has nothing to do with making a layup. Every kid at the college level can make a layup at least most of the time. The inside scoring rating is a formula that takes into account their shooting percentage from inside the paint as well as their desire to shoot inside. So when you see a PG with a 1/10 it doesn't mean that he can't make a layup to save his life - it means that he's not going to be an inside scoring threat. He's not going to be a guard that is trying to post up. If he does end up in the paint with the ball unless its a clean layup he's probably not going to score. Short guys who get into the paint often are going to lose FG% points on a shot when challenged by a much taller player - it's suddenly a much more difficult shot. This is why those other ratings are important (and why the game is complex - there's not just one rating you can look at and have an answer). Look at the kid's play style tendencies. Is there anything for post? If not he's going to be a 1 or 2 out of 10 most likely because he's not an inside scorer. A 5/10 potential means he might develop into a better scorer inside. He might learn how to drive better and get to the rim for more layups. He might develop a nice floater when he gets into the paint. This is literally ZERO to do with the ability to make a shot 3 feet from the basket.

The outside scoring rating means the same thing - what kind of scorer is he as a jump shooter. He might have shot 50% from 3s in his career because he was 2/4...so he's not going to be a highly rated outside shooter because he doesn't shoot them.

Their basketball games have always been better than their football games, and I've enjoyed the college basketball game the most. I'm still not a big fan of the football in-game presentation, but the UI has improved by leaps and bounds over the past couple of versions. They are all worth buying, even though the sale ended a few days ago.
