Amazing to me that apparently nothing has come of this. There just seemed to be so much potential some something awesome here -- a MMO game played on a grid of real streets. I'm shocked we haven't seen someone else trying to make a buck with something along these lines. Not that the MCS game was perfect by any means -- but it seemed to have so much potential. Dang.

You know that a somewhat similar game exists on FB, right?

edit to add: Correction, not all that similar, but a Monopoly licensed game nevertheless.

1st, see my edit above. Not so much similar, but licensed, presenting a different take on the game (nothing like the mapped version that MCS was). I worded my original post poorly & have amended it since.

That said, I'm referring to Monopoly Millionaires. Can't recall the dev (thinking Playfish).

There has been no six month stretch that has gone by without me sliding into this rabbithole a bit, and wondering why nothing else ever happened with this concept.

So, here's your zero trillion dollar idea: the NFT mini-revolution may be the missing piece of the puzzle to make this idea blow the fuck up.
