11 of our teams made the postseason this year, and we had a few deep runs, but also a few one and dones. Let's take a look:
North Carolina (Ariel Pryde) 3/17/28- NCAA West Region First Round vs. (6) Oklahoma (L 91-84). Good effort for the Tar Heels, but they fall short of an upset, and will look for better next season. St. John's (Dean Hoo) 3/17/28- NCAA East Region First Round vs. (16) Mt. St. Mary's (W 88-61). 3/19/28- NCAA East Region Second Round vs. (9) Mercer (W 92-60). 3/24/28- NCAA East Region Semifinal vs. (4) Duke (W 85-73). 3/26/28- NCAA East Region Final vs. (3) Iowa (W 84-60). 4/1/28- NCAA Final Four vs. (6MW) Indiana (W 82-58). 4/3/28- NCAA Championship vs. (3W) Providence (L 73-59). Another deep run for the Red Storm, with some impressive blowout victories. Unfortunately they fell just short of their 3rd national title in this dynasty, but what another great season for Coach Hoo. Northwestern (Ess Vee) 3/17/28- NCAA South Region First Round vs. (9) Southern Miss (W 67-64). 3/19/28- NCAA South Region Second Round vs. (1) Pepperdine (L 62-59). Well, at least the Wildcats won a postseason game this season, more than we can say for last season. They came close to upsetting a #1 seed, but not quite. Ohio State (Brett Hawkins) 3/16/28- NCAA South Region First Round vs. (14) Quinnipiac (W 81-67). 3/18/28- NCAA South Region Second Round vs. (6) Arkansas (L 85-61). The Buckeyes, after a great start to the season, really faltered late. After a 13-1 start, they went just 10-9 the rest of the way. You can bet Coach Hawkins is going to address that. Wichita State (David Ginsberg) 3/16/28- NCAA East Region First Round vs. (6) Seton Hall (L 76-73). Good effort for the Shockers, and not a bad first year at WSU for Coach Ginsberg. San Jose State (Thomas Shepard) 3/15/28- CBI First Round vs. (13) Evansville (L 79-67). The Spartans can feel good about making the postseason, but they sure don't feel good about being upset at home in the CBI. They were hoping for better. Wagner (Will Brown) 3/14/28- NIT Midwest Region First Round vs. (9) South Carolina State (L 74-60). Disappointing NIT for the Seahawks, who feel they were underseeded just a tad. Still, gotta take care of business against the teams you are favored to beat, and they didn't do that. Stanford (Benito Sanchez) 3/17/28- NCAA South Region First Round vs. (7) Virginia Tech (W 60-48). 3/19/28- NCAA South Region Second Round vs. (2) LSU (W 62-59). 3/23/28- NCAA South Region Semifinal vs. (6) Arkansas (L 75-47). The Cardinal have to be happy about making the Sweet Sixteen as a double digit seed, but certainly can't be happy about being blown out in that game. UCLA (Tim Shepard) 3/16/28- NCAA West Region First Round vs. (9) Nebraska Omaha (W 83-75). 3/18/28- NCAA West Region Second Round vs. (1) Minnesota (W 68-45). 3/23/28- NCAA West Region Semifinal vs. (5) Louisville (W 76-66). 3/25/28- NCAA West Region Final vs. (3) Providence (L 72-54). The Bruins can't feel too bad about their final game of the season ending in a loss to the upcoming national champions, but a better effort would have been nice. Alabama (Roy Rogers) 3/15/28- CBI First Round vs. (11) Morehead State (W 81-72). 3/20/28- CBI Quarterfinal at (3) Arizona (W 84-57). 3/22/28- CBI Semifinal vs. (10) Gonzaga (L 52-40). The Crimson Tide lose out to a team that was surprised to be in the CBI. Lot of power conference teams in the CBI this year. Still, Bama expects better than what they got this season. Troy (Benton Gale) 3/15/28- NIT East Region Second Round vs. (6) Cal St. Fullerton (W 77-69). 3/17/28- NIT East Region Semifinal at (2) South Florida (W 91-78). 3/22/28- NIT East Region Final at (4) VCU (L 89-61). The Trojans were 1 game short from making it to Madison Square Garden. They'll be happy with their season though, and it might not be long before Coach Gale starts getting some offers from higher prestige schools. |

Would anybody like to see this project come back? I'm thinking about picking it back up, deleting coaches that are no longer interested, and adding new sign-ups if anybody new is interested. I'd like to resume it within the next couple weeks as I'm getting ready to take a trip but I'd like to pick this up at the beginning of September.
Please let me know ASAP guys, if you're still interested. |

I am going to unfortunately have to restart this project as I've lost all my files from this one, so I'm going to start fresh. New sign-ups coming soon.
