Stoked to hear the new album in about a month and a half, even if they're not what they used to be. I've had tickets to 3 shows canceled/postponed 4 or 5 times due to Jerry's heart attacks and Covid.

I've seen them twice, but it's been a while. Probably 1998 and 2001 if I had to guess. Both were great experiences. I have all of their solo albums, and all their demo/live releases, very much a King's X completionist. Those songs are entrenched in my head, King's X is always going to have a huge place in my musical journey.

I've got like 75-100 bootlegged shows. I've seen them at least 6 times, met the guys a bunch and actually hung out with dUg while searching for a place around Louisville to buy some sort of juice to help his throat pre-show. I've been on so many email lists, usenet groups, messageboards, FB groups, etc, that I have friends going back to before FOFC and we frequently meet up for shows. I love that fan community.

Anyway, to bring it back to the topic, KX is one of those bands where if 1 member we're no longer there, it would cease to be KX. They get comparisons to Rush all the time since they are a trio, but it's a fact. They aren't the band without all 3 members.

And taking it back off track, should I go see Roger Waters this fall? I'd be paying for the nose bleeds ($35 + fees), and its mostly Pink Floyd songs.

We have Hagar coming to town to play for a radio stations 55th year. No interest in seeing him, but George Thuroughgood is opening. I have seen him twice, a third would be awesome.

If I had tickets would go see him. And I'd imagine he'd be playing songs from the album he released a year or two ago.

ETA:Actually he released his last album five years ago. Time flies.

Slash with Myles Kennedy is great, but it's not Guns N Roses.
