If other is selected specify some other options. Will repost poll every few months to see how opinions change (good idea albion).

I'm saying Biden for now.

Incumbents have an advantage, and he plays well in the Midwest/Pennsylvania.

Certainly subject to change over the next 2 years.

I'm saying Other-just because I'm not sure Biden will run again, Trump will be in jail (i hope) or otherwise disqualified for running. DeSantis will get no support from Dems and lots of Independents based on how he's run Florida, and if Cheney runs as an Independent takes votes from him or Trump

If Biden runs again, you could make a legitimate argument that they want him reelected and then to die in office.

Biden is 100% running barring any crazy medical setback or Biden crime family bombshell.

I don't understand why there will still be reasonable doubt on Biden running again. I mean, he's said he is.

My reasonable doubt is because of his health only. I know he wants to run, not sure his body/mind will be up to the task

I voted Biden because I do believe he will beat Trump. But if DeSantis is the nominee (vs Biden), I’ll give the edge to DeSantis.

A couple of things .If Biden runs as it appears who is his VP? If Harris vs anyone else how will that change the equation? Also, if Biden decides not to run and Harris is the nominee what about that? Lastly if Desantis is the R nominee as I believe he will be and Trump runs as an Independent ( likely) what does that look like.
My prediction Biden runs with Harris as VP and beats Desantis due to Trump taking 20% of the R as an indie.

She won the governorship in South Carolina.

And I think the GOP will elect anyone if they think they can "own the libs"

It is all about matchups, Biden beats Trump and DeSantis beats Biden IMO.

I picked DeSantis, not because that is who I want or who I would vote for, but I think (hope) Trump will end up in jail or otherwise disqualified and at this time I think DeSantis pulls enough of the independent/moderate GOP voters that went to Biden to win.

Quite honestly I am not thrilled with any of the likely options, but would take Biden over the others gladly at this point.

Rooting for Biden or whoever the Democrats run but voted for DeSantis because I'm afraid that is more likely.

Absent Trump's influence, I can agree that DeSantis beats Biden.

But IMO this presumes that Trump and his supporters get behind DeSantis, which I have a hard time believing if Trump indeed continues to run for the GOP nomination.

Any way in which a DeSantis nomination depresses support from Trump voters loses him the GE, IMO. It doesn't even need to be something as dramatic as a hung vote at the party conference and Trump lobbing grenades from a third party run. IMO, even something like 5% of Trump voters thinking Trump somehow got jobbed by the GOP establishment, is probably enough to lose DeSantis enough key states, where the margins are so low.
