Best playoff series you ever watched
I would have to say likely the 86 World Series, but at the time I didn't really know what it meant since I was 11.
I would have to say the 94 Eastern Conference Finals between the Devils-Rangers. Odd since I was a huge Devils fan and the Rangers won, but the series was amazing Had everything. Honorable mention to the Cubs world series because of the historical nature, and the ALCS where the Reb Sox came from 3-0 down to beat the Yankees. |

First thing off the top of my head:1991 World Series. All but 1 of the games was close and it had some classic games and a classic finish

1984 Finals was the first major one for me.

1991 was a great year. I watched the Bulls's first championship as High School ended, and then in the fall watched the World Series on campus at college in Minnesota. That Fall in MN was reasonably temperate, so people tended to have their windows open at night. If you were outside walking around when the games were on, you could hear the reactions to the games coming from all around you.
However, the greatest "playoff" game I've ever seen in real-time was the 1999 Champions League Final between Manchester United & Bayern Munich, while living in the UK. Such a colossal game. |

The Kirk Gibson walk-off HR off Eck in Game 1 of the 88 World Series was the most stirring sports thing I've ever watched on television. The series wasn't a standout overall, but that was one hell of a moment.
