The 2042 NFL Offseason:

I have on my roster 53, the old ones are Fiste – year 14, NT Halapin – year 12, four year 11 – Festa, Planish, Howells and LS Walsh, no 10, one 9 – RT Wang. I end the year and…none retire!!!

I score a 65….get ready!!!!!

The 2042 NFL Hall of Fame:

OG Lonne Montano
- 2 All Pros, 3 Rings, career stats – 521 KRB, 50 pancakes, 83 sacks allowed, drafted 38th in the 2nd, by us. 83% vote.

This is awesome since he’s my first voted in draftee. I inherited Jaycee Horn, great, and WR Xavier Legette was the 1.32 rookie, drafted by another. Now we have three!!!

Other entries – RB Carter Trejo, WR Puca Nacua and Marvin Harrison and Lee Gillespie, QB Anthony Richardson and Jalen Hurts, TE Elijah Takeda, and OLB Alfonso Boynton

Tix – We sold out and I raise prices again

Staff Draft:

Coming Free next year are OC Nick Chubb. I extend him.

Draft Revealed:

It’s bad that Fiste is not returning, this is a four QB draft. We used to early on half a 5 or 6 QB, then three when I drafted our 1st round bust Plamondon. Then a couple years of no Qb, then about one or two. This year the four are 9.3 Shannon Valle, underrated, Asante Herrick, 8.6 and hard to read, Kareem Satterfield at 8.0 and as scouted, and 8.0 overrated Jamie Sweet. We still need a stud NT/DE, RB for Hutchings, and maybe a better RT for Wang who aged fast, maybe WILB for Howells. Or just BAP where studs. We are drafting at 1.27.

The talent? Three stud 7+ Rb, 7.9 Landen Erikson is underrated, 7.3 Colt Cotella is hard to read and Jessie Hanner at 7.0 is also hard to read. Then just three 6.0. There is a 6.0 rated TE named Stan Stribling at hard to read. Just one 6.5 WR, no good C, 6.0 OG, that’s it, and at OT? LT 7.4 and three RTs in the high 6.0s, then another 6 in the 6s. At DE there are two at 7.4 and 7.1, but none in the 6.s that’s top heavy. DT has the highest non-QB in the draft at 8.0, then a 7.5 7 6.s ILB for Howells we have 6 6.0s, and then just two in OLB side. At CB just five lower rated 6.0 and S one 7.1 stud and that’s it. in the 7. A8 and 9s, there are 13, but five are QB and three are RB, one LT so offensive heavy. That means the top 13 are guaranteed a strong blue chip high rated player.

Tag? I have free many. QB Fiste, RB Hutchings, DE Suazo, OG Flores, that all wanted too much to resign last year, as well as temp patch NT Halapin. I don’t cap any, I’ll resign Day 1.

The 2042 NFL Free Agency:

I have 42 signed and cap space of 73.63 I tried to keep the cap space free last year.

Day 1

Coming Free I need to reup:

QB Harold Fiste – Duh. He wants 2 years, 106.440 cash cap hit of 48.17. I have to do it, he’s my stud. Done.

DE Suazo – Wants 2 years, 13.43 mill, cap hit of 5.99
RB Hutchings – Wants 3 years for 15.87, cap hit of 4.61
OG Flores – Wants 16.91 over three years for 4.74 cap hit

Also coming free not being extended are QB Winsor, WR Sluder ,LT Lopez, OG Hopkins TE Eades.

Rookies Coming Up:

SILB McMorris – Cap hit of 2.95, 69/69, wants 63.67 over 4 years for cap hit rise of 12.34

FB Blake – 62/62, cap hit of 2.42, wants 4.48 two years, cap hit rise, barely to 2.51, Done.

DE Schaaf – 53/53, run stopping, cap hit of 2.31 wants professional pricey 5 years at 53.73 for cap hit raise to 7.83. No thanks. Too pricecy, see Suazo last year, maybe he’ll drop his price if waiting until his rookie deal is done

Players in Final Year to Resign:

OC Justin Nguyen – 47/60 – UFA should I trade to get full value since Festa returned?
K Brotherton – 69/69 – cap hit 7.04, wants 22.93 for three years, cap hit of 7.0 this year too.. Done
WR Jackson – 77/77, cap hit of 47.66, wants 73.13 mill for two to drop cap hit this year to 37.69. Done.
WLB Breeden – 75/75, cap hit of 42.95, wants two years at 56.53 for cap hit drop to 30.60, done
OG Planish – 58/58, cap hit of 12.98, wants two years at 23.46 to rise to 13.3. Done
OC Festa – 61/61, cap hit of 10.97, wants two years at 19.98 to raise to 11.37 done
RT Wang – 50/50, cap hit of 21.28, wants 2 years at 27.27 for reduction to 17.15. Nope, too pricey and big fall in ability
WILB Howells – 53/53, cap hit of 8.95. wants two years at 9.73 to drop to raise to 9.12. I’ll let him play out his deal, see if I can find someone in the draft.
CB Downs – 58/58, cap hit of 14.61, wants two year at 22.73 to drop to 12.73. Sure thing, done
WR Drury - 60/60, cap hit of 10.41, wants real money, 2 years 45.52 cap rise to 22.07. remember he wa the cheap option we chased a few years ago. I don’t resign.

I extend LS Walsh.

Do I resign Suazo or Flores or Hutchings? I have free 48.69 so around 38 mill. To resign them all is a cap hit this year of them all is around 13.3 and McMorris is 10 mill, l can do both and have free for FA 15 mill. Or extend Drury and 3 mill. Ideally I would resign all three, and then look for better options in the draft and then cut, especially Hutchings. I do it all and McMorris too. I have left 23.93 mill, so around 13 mill for FA, but I have 46 signed and a draft with 7 picks, one comp late but missing a third.

What can I get for OC Nguyen? Three fourths from New England, one future, two this year done.

Now I have 9 picks, but missing late 3rd but with two fourths and 45 on my roster. Do I resign Nguyen , or add WR to my draft list? I’ll wait until post draft. I’ll keep my money tight, for that.

Anyone else I want to resign before Day 2? Nope. I head to FA!!!

Day 2 – Anyone I like here? There are cheap mid 50s young TE and with Eades leaving, I need TE. One is TE Griffin Brase, 56/56, age 28, wants 14.48 3 years cap hit of 4.17. Not bad, but not with my cap free for Drury post deal.

Any upgrades with my cash instead of resigning Drury or I can sign and then cut for their fees?

RT Emmanual Fillman – 5th year vet, age 27, 63/63, wants 4 years for 79.47, cap hit of 14.88 this year and then Wang’s cut would free up 17.1 to pay for the first year. Do I want to do that?

If I sign Fillman I’ll fill RT permanently, no draftable. I need starter/upgrades at RT, WILB, DT, DE, RB and OG for Flores. This year is deep in RT for Wang though. I’d hate to sign him and have stud OT at the spot. But I’d also hate no good RT and I didn’t sign Fillman. I offer Fillman 15.5 cap hit.

Day 4 – Fillman signs, I cut Wang

Draft time!!!

The 2042 NFL Amateur Draft:

As a reminder, I need either a starting stud WR for Drury, or to resign him, stud/starters at DT/DE/OG/RB/WILB, then backup WR, OC, QB, TE, OG, LT, CB, S,

1st Round – Do I trade up for a stud RB? Not with the results of having one with Hutchings where they don’t give enough carries. I will stay at the 1.27 spot. I might need draft power next year if Fiste retires. At 1.1 the Bills grab RB Landen Erikson. Huh. I figured the QB would have been theirs.

Our pick arrives and one 8.0 Qbs is still on the board: Sweet (Overrated). Really? Do I snag him now since I need a backup and then if Fiste doesn’t retire, grow him, a la Aaron Rodgers or Jordan Love?

I have a trade offer from the Texans, probably wanting to draft Sweet. They are offering their 4th, 5th and future 4th. Really? No thanks for a 1.st with an 8.0 QB on the board?

My staff here like RT Drake Cajigas, who is 6.7 and As Scouted. Not when I signed Fillman, duh. What about As Scouted DT Randy Vallejo who is 6.4? Nice bars. ILB 6.5 very underrated Tyree Giles? Great bars too, better than Howells now before growing. All of the good Des with a 6+ rating are gone. TE Stan Stripling is on the board too and a hard to read stud. He makes all of my previous TEs look like kids if he holds…that’s an if. If I grab Stripling then i might want to cut/trade Howells since a non-starting 56/56 9th year vet can fall if not starting, for him,

I’m shocked Striping is on the board the best ones are typically taken in the mid 1st.. The 87/87 one was taken at 1.25, but the rest way higher.

So I have three options:

1. Take DT Vallejo where I have DT Atiles at low 50s and had a great first year for us
2. Take ILB Giles where I have 52/52 Howells and 31/53 sophomore Moala at the position of least need in my 3-4
3. Take the TE of studly-ness when TE Wellons is fine.

All three are in good spots with Howells, Moala, Atiles and Wellons. They are the BAP, not top need like last year’s LT pick. I rule out Vallejo since he has the worst bars of these three but he’s a stud no worries. ILB and very underrated at least need ILB or the better bars and rare stud and then hard to read skill position? I could draft all three. Love them all…do I draft one and trade if the other two fall like two years ago SLB Colbern? Nope I need draft equity for 1st if Fiste retires. I grab the rare TE and Wellons is older.

2nd Round
– The 2.26 is here. Vallejo is still on the board, is Giles? Nope, I draft Vallejo as fast as I can. We’ll see you in the 4th!!!

4th Round – At the early part of the 4th, there is one 6.0 player left, 6.0 QB Mohammad Deablo, As Scouted, do I grab him now? My staff here like OC Kody Schupp who is three OCs down and very underrated. He’s got great bars, and I do need a backup OC but I don’t want competition this good for Festa in case he falls, since I need him to start for HOF purposes. I draft Deablo. He’s from…Brigham Young!!! Come on now that’s funny.

5th Round
– 5.26 is here. My staff here like OC Terry Creute. He’s fine but hard to read. Can I find here a better backup WR, OG or LT? Also 5.4 very underrated CB Xiong on the board. Very underrated 5.1 WR Montague? OC or WR? OC bigger need, done.

6th Round
– Our 6th round pick arrives!!!! Our staff here like OG Caeser Naumann, who is very underrated, 4.4. Done.

Our 6.42 pick is here and my staff like WR Irving Hewitt, who is 4.5, 4th from top, and As Scouted. Done.

7th Round – Our 7.27 is here. My staff here like OT Donovon Leggett who is 4.9 and LT and hard to read. What about 4.8 very underrated CB Brant Cheng? Done.

The 2042 Carolina Panthers Draft:

1.27 –TE Stan Stribling, Miami, 54/71;
2.26 – DT Randy Vallejo, South Carolina, 47/63;
4.8 – QB Mohammad Deablo, Brigham Young, 33/48;
5.26 – C Terry Creute, Boston College, 27/51;
6.28 – OG Caesar Naumann, Texas Tech, 19/44;
6.42 – WR Irving Hewitt, Virginia, 39/44
7.27 – CB Brant Cheng, Illinois, 32/40

In Stribling we trust! If he develops he would be the 5th best. Nasty stuff if so!!! Nice fall Vallejo! Nothing else too major, hopefully Naumann and Cheng will grow like we expect with very underrated.

2042 NFL Late Free Agency -

Day 1 – I extend WR Drury. I have 15.23 cap space.

Do I trade/cut Wellons? There’re no trade advances, I cut him to make him free.

SS Ronald Wicks – KR RET, 25/39
WR Donovan Smith – KR Ret, 23/43
TE Rafeal Oscar - 29/40
DT Tucker Drinnon - 30/51
DT Ricky Swillis – 28/50 pass rush

Day 2 – Swillis and Oscar sign. I massage Smith’s offer since others are chasing him too

Day 3 – Smith and Wicks sign!!!

Day 4 – Miller joins!

Day 5 – Drinnon joins!

Here are my UFAs first glances!

UFAs:

FS Al Miller – 20/43
SS Ronald Wicks – KR RET, 24/36
WR Donovan Smith – KR Ret, 23/38
TE Rafeal Oscar - 29/41

DT Ricky Swillis – 28/48 pass rush

Miller better, Wicks worse, Smith much worse, Oscar a bit better and my DTs a bit worse than thought.

I head to preseason!!!

1.27 –TE Stan Stribling, Miami, 54/71; 58/68
2.26 – DT Randy Vallejo, South Carolina, 47/63; 53/61
4.8 – QB Mohammad Deablo, Brigham Young, 33/48; 35/46
5.26 – C Terry Crute, Boston College, 27/51; 34/58
6.28 – OG Caesar Naumann, Texas Tech, 19/44; 23/42
6.42 – WR Irving Hewitt, Virginia, 39/44; 36/43
7.27 – CB Brant Cheng, Illinois, 32/40; 36/37

A small fall by Stribling, that’s fine. Ditto Vallejo and Deablo, big rise by Crute, fall by Naumann, Cheng,

UFAs:

FS Al Miller – 20/43; 25/43
SS Ronald Wicks – KR RET, 24/36; 26/33, CUT
WR Donovan Smith – KR Ret, 23/38; 24/33; CUT
TE Rafeal Oscar - 29/41; 32/41
DT Tucker Drinnon - 29/48; 33/48, CUT
DT Ricky Swillis – 28/48 pass rush; 30/45

Wicks falls, Smith too, Swillis a bit.

I cut:

NT Antiles - I need to cut him since my DC is starting them over Vallejo
SS Wicks
WR Smith
DT Drinnon

Get ready for a tumble in quality in my secondary….

The 2042 Carolina Panthers:

Here’s my roster! Wow did my D get hit hard. WILB Howells is now 41/41, and my DC is starting 44/44 WILB Croteau over raw but better pot Moala. FS Husband busted to 35/35. I thought we were finally set at the rough position of FS, but nope. Alegria starts, CB Downs busted from 58/58 to 48/48, nickelback. Hull busted to 50/50, RNB Hutchings busted to 48/48. I wish I had traded up now, although I am sure my OC/HC will run him more now than before. WR Stoney dropped to 53/53. Fiste to 57/57. Nasty.

My top hard to read rookie?

Here’s studly at 68 too, back of the 1st? Nasty! Very good at blocking strength, pass and run block, route running and blitz pickup, and then good at adjusting, catching in traffic, defeating the jammers and okay at hands, securing and weak at speed.

Here’s my first round pick that I took in the 2nd…

He’s solid in pass rush, run and strength, and diagnosis, He’s not a pass rushing fiend like ohers, but 71 pot is fine. He’s not with any weaknesses.

Ready for the year to begin?

Let’s do it to it!!!

The 2042 NFL Playoffs:

I really hope we can win one a 5th Bowl for Fiste. Since he’s been dropping we haven’t even made it to the Super Bowl, and I have loads of younger studs like P Suzuki and FB Blake, just one, DE Suazo, one, but that also helps Hall of Fame dynamics, right? Even Jackson and Breeden only have two rings. Only Festa has four. Let’s go out strong this offseason and win the big one!!!

Wild Card Weekend:

I am rooting for the Saints on the road at the Rams…I don’t like either here though…and I don’t really care about the other four all with 10 or 11 win records.

Results:

Rams over Saints 36-14, they didn’t show up
Packers over Cardinals, 21-17
Cowboys over Giants 40-35

All home teams won in the NFC.

Chargers over Jets 55-33 - wow both LA teams nasty here, they could have an all LA Super Bowl.
Pats over Jags on the road 37-21
Browns over Titans 17-16

We host the Cowboys next week.

Divisional Champ Weekend:

DE Schaaf is probable

Can we edge the Cowboys at home? Yes! 26-7

Fiste is 24 of 34 for 221 and 1:1, score by Stripling, a playoff score in his rookie season! He had 112 yards. But….see below…pick by Hershberger, Fumrec for score by OT McHale on special team. 2 sacks each by Breeden and Mahon. 5 KRB b yFesta, 3 by Swift and Fillman

Also:

The Packers won on the road over the Rams 21-20

The Chargers won 46-23 over the Browns
The Bills won 20-13 over the Pats

TE Stripling is questionable for two weeks.

Remember that we lost to the Chargers in the Super Bowl, and are 1-1 against them, so if we both make it, that would be to see who has the winning record.

We host the Packers!!!

The Conference Championships:

We beat the Packer in week 1 Wild card last year there and a few years ago there too on our WC Super Bowl victory. Can we hold serve here and win at home? Yup! We win an exciting game 34-28.

Rush score by Fiste, who is 26 of 30 for 268 and 3:0, hitting Jackson, Oscar and Duke for scores. Pick by Hershberger, 6 KRB by Planish, 3 by Festa

Also winning at home are the Bills against the Chargers 23-16. They shut down that stud offensive in the cold.

That sets up…

The 2042 NFL Super Bowl:

Your AFC Champion #1 Seed 12-5 Buffalo Bills

Vs

Your NFC Champion #1 Seed 14-3 Carolina Panthers

Remember that the Bills had the 1.1 spot and used it on stud RB. So this could be billed as the Battle of the 1st round RBs. Their QB is worse than ours a bit 52/52 Martin, they have been riding rookie 74/74 and they also have stud O Line like ours, with the best OC at 80/80, and 77 OG and 65, Nasty good. They want to grind us out, and then their D is pretty strong too, All three LBs in their 4-3 are 65 or 66, they have a stud 60s DT too, and worse DE than us and their secondary obviously better than ours. This won’t be a blowout or rough match for them with a 57/57 QB but our receivers blow theirs away. Their RB has the advantage and Jackson/Drury do for us.

They force us to play their game, low scoring, defensive rushing, but we win it 20-17.

Rush score by Fiste, he is 27 of 37 for 315 and a ROUGH 1:3. Like I said, they played their game. Jackson the score. We has two FF into recoveries themselves by Downs and McMorris. Light KRB day.

I’ll take any win, even that ugly of one, in the Super Bowl!!!

Good job team, and rookies TE Stripling and DT Vallejo!!!

League Awards:

Player of the Year: QB Harold Fiste
Off. Player of the Year: Q
B Harold Fiste

All-Pro First Team:

QB Harold Fiste
RT Emmanual Fillman!!!!

All-Pro Second Team:

OC Reggie Festa
WLB Tucker Breeden

Fiste didn’t get Super Bowl MVP that went to Buffalo QB. That’s Festa’s and Breeden’s 4th All Pro. That’s Fillman’s first All-Pro in his career. Light All Pros, but that’s everyone in front at the 3rd quarter mark.

Rookie Lookie #3:

1.27 –TE Stan Stribling, Miami, 54/71; 58/68; 69/69
2.26 – DT Randy Vallejo, South Carolina, 47/63; 53/61; 66
4.8 – QB Mohammad Deablo, Brigham Young, 33/48; 35/46; 36/46
5.26 – C Terry Crute, Boston College, 27/51; 34/58; 34/58
6.28 – OG Caesar Naumann, Texas Tech, 19/44; 23/42; 23/42
6.42 – WR Irving Hewitt, Virginia, 39/44; 36/43; 38/43
7.27 – CB Brant Cheng, Illinois, 32/40; 36/37; 36/37

Stripling didn’t fall. Vallejo roses to better than post-draft. No other changes.

UFAs:

FS Al Miller – 20/43; 25/43; 25/43
SS Ronald Wicks – KR RET, 24/36; 26/33, CUT
WR Donovan Smith – KR Ret, 23/38; 24/33; CUT
TE Rafeal Oscar - 29/41; 32/41; 35/41
DT Tucker Drinnon - 29/48; 33/48, CUT
DT Ricky Swillis – 28/48 pass rush; 30/45; 30/45

Stats:

Throwing that Ball:

QB Fiste – 406 for 523, 4589, 7th most, 40:6, 2nd most by 1, 123.90 rating? Are you kidding me with that rating?

Running that Ball:

RB Hutchings – 237 for 1211, ypc of 5.11, 10th most yards, 13 scores, 3rd most
RB Hannah – 133 for 861, ypc of 6.47, 4 scores

Strong stuff Hutchings, that’s about what you’d expect from a mid 40s RB

Catching that Ball:

WR Drury – 94 for 1250, 11 scores
WR Jackson – 86 for 1056, 15 scores
TE Stribling – 88 for 812, 3 score

TE Stribling was 3rd in TEs for yards catching.

Blocking that Ball:

RT Fillman – 63 KRB, 7 pancakes and 10 sacks allowed
OC Festa - 57 KRB, 4 and 4
OG Flores - 41KRB, 1 and 5
OG Planish – 39 KRB, 3 and 2
LT Swift – 26KRB, just 2 sacks allowed

Once again Swift doesn’t allow sacks. Fillman a stud, Festa and Flores and Planish normally good years.

Punting that Ball:

P Suzuki – 58 for net of 40.72, 22 in 20

Down year for him

Kicking that Ball:

K Brotherton – 30 of 44, long of 55, 59 of 61 PAT

Got that PAT up, but very down on the FG stuff

Returning that Ball:

PR/CB Downs – He had a PR RET Score.

Rushing that Ball:

WLB Breeden – 13.5 sacks, 9 TFL, 1 block, 7 hurries, 19 QBKD
DT Mahon – 9 sacks, 1 block, 13 hurries, 13 QBKD, 3 FF
SLB Colbern – 7 sacks, 9 tfl, 1 block,4 hurries and 6 QBKD, 1 int, 3 FF
DE Matthew – 6 sacks, 5 blocks, 1 hurrie, 8 QBKD, 2 FUmrec
DE Suazo – 6 sacks, 6 blocks, 5 hurries 11 QBKD, 2 Fumrec
DE Schaaf - 4.5 sacks, 1 TLF, 1 block, 4 hurie sand QKBD, 2 FF
NT Vallejo – 2 sacks, 1 TFL, 1 block, 1 hurry and QBKD, 2 FF
SILB McMorris – 172 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 11 TFL, 1 hurry and QBKD, 11 pasdef, 2 FF,

Breeden led our team in sacks and QBKD, great year Mahon! He doesn’t start, led In hurries and 2nd in sacks. Suazo led in blocks, McMorris in tfl, and Hershberger in FF. Not a great beginning for Vallejo, but great sack year for the team!!!

Covering that Ball:

CB Hull – 4 picks, 4 pasdef
SS Hershberger – 144 tackles, 2 sack, 10 TFL, 2 QBKD, 3 picks, 16 pasdef, 4 FF
CB Neblett – 3 picks, 1 INT RET TD, 10 pasdef
FS Husband – 3 picks, 4 pasdef

Meh in pass coverage.

Team Awards:

Offensive Player of the Year: RT Emmanuel Fillman
– Our only major FA acquisition, but he was nasty good. He led all Ots in KRB, and was 2nd behind just one OC. Also, 7 pancakes was pretty good, but we need to drop those 10 sacks. Good job Fillman!!!

Defensive Player of the Year: WLB Tucker Breeden – I hate to give awards back to back, but our lone defensive All Pro deserves it. He led us in sacks, QB knockdowns and was 3rd in the league in sacks at his position. Good stuff!!!

Special Teams Player of the Year: CB/PR Joshua Downs
– A…hmm…”Down” year in kicking and punting, but not in PR Returns. Great job Downs!!!

Rookie of the Year: TE Stan Stribling
– Dude comes in 3rd at his position for receiving as a rookie? Good stuff. It’s just as hard for TE as C since there are just one per year per team, and many players. If he can convert more TEs scores from Duke and Oscar to him, we might be ready for my 1st.

Heart Award – DT Mel Mahon – He didn’t start, but in rotation grabbed 9 sacks and led my team in hurries? Great stuff Mel!!!

Can we win the rare back to back next year? Let’s find out next!!

The 2043 NFL Offseason:

We did get an achievement for our 5th Super Bowl. For retirement purposes, Fiste is 15th, at 12th year is Festa, Planish, Howells and LS Bryan, and just Drury at year 9. Ready? Pleasedon’tretire.

He did retire as well as LG Planish. We’ll see you in five years for your HOF ceremony Fiste!!!

I score a 77.

The 2043 Hall of Fame:

8 players, three RBs named Zachariah Schaffner, Maurice Mathisen and Kent Chand, CB Andy Riley and Neil Howze, QB Michael Penix from Atlanta that they were dominating us with, ILB Vincent Palmer and OLB Amari Hutchins, that’s it

Tix – Sold out, I raise prices…

Staff Draft:

Coming free are HC Joe Brady and AC Harvey Gillaspia. Joe Brady doesn’t want to come back. Do I want to hire a replacement now or next year when he’s gone? I do it now:

HC:

I need someone good at everything, ideally powerful at motivating, discipline and playcalling, and strong most places. There are no 100 playcallers.

Klint Kubiak – 56, New England OC – 100 discipline, dev, 90 youth, playcalling, 70 in scouting an interviews, 60 in INT, only bad is motivation at 30.

Blake Ferguson – unemployed, 45, 90 playcalling, 70 disciple and interviews, 60s everywhere else. No weaknesses.

Zaire Valentine – 45, unemployed, 90 motivation, 80 playcalling, 70 interview, player dev, 60 everywhere else save scouting which is 30

Nick Chubb – 47, our OC, 90 youth, 80 motivation, INT, 70 playcalling, dev, scout, 60 dipli, 50 interview, Also no weakness

Gregory Kim – 64, Detroit DC, 80 scouting and dis, 70 playcalling, interviews, 60 mot, 50 youth and player dev, and then bad INT.

So, which of these five do I likesee? Kubiak is bad at motivation, but the best playcaller at 90 and 100 discipline is a stud there. Ferguson also a stud at playcalling, does have as many reds high, but no green okays or bad scores. Valentine is one below them at playcalling at 80, and then 90 motivation amazing, the best, and then 60 discipline and one bad score at scouting. Nick is our OC, knows our team, and has no weaknesses, one more step down on playcalling at 70, 80 motivation and 60 discipline, just one 60 and 50, rest higher. Kim is older, also 70 playcalling, 80 discipline and 50 motivation, with two fives and a INT weakness.

Do I want the best playcaller and discipline max, but no motivation. Or the best playcaller and motivation but just 60 discipline? I hire Ferguson!

I rehire AC Gillaspia!

The Draft is Revealed:

We need a stud QB, to trade up for, just like Fiste and hope he’s no bust like Plamondon who did get me to the playoffs the first time in this dynasty in his rookie year before busting in year two. I also might need stud RB for Hutchings, OG for Planish, FS for Husband, a better OG than cheap Flores, a stud DE, and better WILB than 37/54 Moala.

We are drafting 1.32.

This is a 3 QB draft at 9.5, As Scouted, QB Mohamed Larson; 8.3 overrated Frank Corley and at 7.7, underrated Jude Chaffee, drafting at the 1.1 spot is Pittsburgh from Boise. It has a cap hit of 15 mill, keel that open. I definitely like Larson since he’s As scouted and strong bars. Two stud 7.0 RB and two 60s, light, just 5 WRs in 6s, two 6.8 G for Planish, four 7.0s RT, then just two OT in the 6.s.one stud 7.2 DE and then 5 6s. Same numbers for DTs, but one fewer 6. One 6.8 ILB for WiLB, two 6.s for OLB, two stud low 7.0s for CB, two 6s too, at S one 6.9 that’s it for replacing bust Husband.

Tag – Free is 41/41 Howells, nope, and DE Schaaf who wanted too much for his talent level 53/53. No tags.

The 2043 NFL Free Agency:

Day 1
– I have free cap space of 61.58 and signed players of 45, with 6 FAs. I need to keep open 15 mil for 1.1 and 10 mil for post draft FA, so 25 total, and I’ll be chasing FAs too.

Free Agents to Resign:

DE Schaaf – 53/53 – run stopper, wants 24.5 for 4 years and 4.78 cap hit this year.
WILB Howells – 41/41, age 34, also won 5 Super Bowls. Wants 4.73 for one year

Also free and not in the running are CB Neblett, Ebbitt, Coron, and LG Ekuban.

Rookies in Final Year:

FL Stoney – 53/53, wants 78.88 for 4 years and cap hit this year of 14.91, no thanks

DE Matthew – 53/53, cap hit of 2.29, wants extension to 58.25 mill over 5 years for cap hit rise to 8.40 Nope

SLB Colbern – 64/64 – cap hit of 3.85, wants 80.43 mill deal over 4 years at a cap hit rise to 16.06. Colbern is the 19th best OLB. That price would be a little off. Breeden with four All Pros and the 2nd best OLB at 76/76, sure. If he were say 70/70 for that price, sure. Also there are cheaper better and pricier lower too, like 60/60 at 22 mill. But they might be in the last hit of their year. I did offer Howells this level of salary cap, but was All Pro by then. To extend him is 13 mill more. I might need that cap space for chasing FAs. I’ll try to keep that space free next year, or for later FA.

This was the draft of Husband and 1st round bustee CB Mostowski,

Players in Final Year to Extend:

P Suzuki - Cap hit of 5.96, wants 5 year deal at 29.9, cap hit of 5.22 drop, done
FB Blake- Cap hit of 2.44 wants 2 years of 4.93, cap hit of 2.53 rise, done
C Festa – 59/59, cap hit of 10.72, wants two years at 19.89, cap hit rise to 11.46, done
WR Jackson – 77/77, cap hit of 39.98, wants 2 year deal to rise that to 41.84. Done
WLB Breeden – 76/76, cap hit of 30.22, wants 2 year at 34.85 to drop to 28.26, done
SS Hershberger – 66/66, age 30, cap hit of 16.04, wants one year extension at 26.73 for cap hit fall to 13.98. Done
DE Suazo – 51/51, cap hit of 7.43, wants 11.56 dela over two years for cap hit fall to 6.25. I hold off until post draft.
CB Hull – 50/50, cap hit of 6.21, wants extension of one year to 22.82 with a cap hit rise to 10.82. no thanks
CB/PR Downs - 49/49, cap hit of 12.42, no they dropped, I’ll play them out or cut them for cash.
WR Drury – 61/61, cap hit of 25.17, wants two year extension for 41.9 to make his cap hit drop to 22.61. Done.
DT Rose – 50/50, age 27 cap hit of 4.93, run stopper, wans two years at 8.91 for hit of 4.66. Not bad, but he’s not really pushing our pass rush, I just drafted Vallejo last year, just start one.

I extend LS Walsh,

After all extension, I have free 72.89 mill, and I need 35. I resign Schaaf. I now have on my roster 46, and 68.11 free, if I cut Downs I’d free 10.16, enough to chase a good FA, or just a little less to resign Colbern. The issue there is that I am al ready down three CBs, and just one good starters at SS, Hull and FS Alegria are 50/50, but I need better there. And nickelback too, and 49/49 isn’t; bad if he stays there. I need in FA a starter at CB, a nickelback for Downs, a better FS if cheap, OG for Planish, maybe a better RB for Hutchings, but that’s probably not as needed.

I head to FA!

Day 2
– I need two cheap CBs, OG that’s studly, better and cheaper FS for Husband’s bust, maybe but not needed RB. Any free QBs? Just the Bills Super Bowl Qb 52/52 Martin, I trade for the top pick from the Steelers. I trade them my 1/32 and then two 1sts in the future, I now have free 62.29, so 39 after keeping Colbern money open.

CB:

CB Deonte Pierce – 61/61, age 31, wants 12.02 mill for two years at cap hit of 5.65, older, but a cheap patch,

CB Lee Dixon – 55/55, age 28, wants three years at 17.69 for a cap hit of 5.06, younger, but still older

CB Nasir Nichols – 50/50, age 24, wants 17.16 over 3 years for a cap hit of 4.94, Young but not great.

I offer Pierce at 6.50 and Dixon at 5.5 mill. 12 mill offered

OG:

OG Forrest Mercado – 70/70, run blocking specialist, 6th year, age of 27, wants 45.87, 3 year deal with a cap hit of 12.79. I offer 13.75. He’s the 2nd best OG in FA, and a stud at run blocking.

25.75 offered

FS:

Can I find a cheap Holland here for 50/50 Alegria?

FS Jaquan Dotson – 52/52, age 27, wants 8.45 for three years, cap hit of 3.82

If that counts, but a 50/50 upgrade there isn’t worth it

RB:

Anyone I like here? There is a stud 67/67 but 7th year and two cheap 51, 5th year, but not thanks.

I head to Day 3 having offered Mercado, Pierce and Dixon.

Day 6 – OG Mercado signs!!!

Day 8
– Pierce heads elsewhere. Nichols signed too, I offer CB 53/53 28 years old Matthew Gooden – 2 year, 12.63 6 mil cap hit

Day 10 – Dixon signs

Day 13 – Gooden signs

I head to the draft!!!

The 2043 Amateur Draft:

1st Round
- At the 1.1 spot I take As scouted 9.5 rated Mohamed Larson. My staff like RB Sammie Sanders.

2nd Round
– Here at 2.32 who do I like? My staff here like RT Pat Courtier who is 5.8 and overrated. DE Jordan the last 6.0 at 6.3 left and underrated. Okay bars, not a pass rush though, I need studs. What about FS? S Terene Ven is underrated.

The 2043 Carolina Panthers Draft:

1.1 – RB Sammie Sanders, Arkansas, 63/69

I drafted Larson, looked at him, thought I had saved, my game crashed, I went to the 2nd round, and drafted, but it looks like I didn’t save and I clicked the auto-draft instead next to move to next pick. Obviously, I cannot trade that much draft capital for a stud RB, even that one. I will stop the game and restart another.
