Blurton tries to make a game (again)

Not sure how much I'll post here but I've done a couple projects where it felt like posting here helped keep me interested in it. Will see if there's any interest from the group and then decide from there whether to keep going.

For background, I'm a pure hobbyist. I taught myself Python but would call myself intermediate at best. Have dabbled a bit in Unity in Godot but Python is where I feel like I can do things.

I always had a dream to make a game that was FOF but Blood Bowl. I took a couple stabs at it, never really got it to feel right. Recently, started playing around with a FOF but Blood Bowl and also....hockey themed. That has proven to be a lot easier for some reason for me to get into a headspace where I can prototype and have fun.

Current progress - I am loading players and "cards" from csv files. One shift per team for now. I have a game manager class, a resolution engine and I can make the players do face-offs.

My initial design was to have it be a boardgame like feel of "drawing highlights" to be resolved. That proved to be too random, so I'm working on a bit of a hybrid where it's the players and coaches who are determining what events happen next via rolling their dice pools. Very, very simple, 3 zones (defending, neutral, attacking). Players rated on 7 point scale across 8 attributes.

Any questions/interest, happy to hear from people - probably won't post regularly but having fun thinking about the project and hoping I can sustain it for a bit.
