Noem's hanging out on the roof of the ICE facility on Broadview, then decides she needs to visit the municipal building for a "bathroom break" - outrage ensues when she's denied entry. When not letting people use the bathroom is a bigger deal then raiding and destroying an entire apartment building filled with mostly innocent people, you've lost your humanity.

So, if I'm understand ICE correctly, they were rammed by 10 cars and attacked by a woman with a semi-automatic weapon. The result is the woman was shot and then drove herself to the hospital and was not arrested. So ICE just let her go with no arrest?

In what time would that ever be possible in the US?

Allegedly, she had previously exposed the identities of ICE agents...

Even Jon has to think ICE's story sounds like shit (regardless of whether he thinks the woman deserves it).

There are a dozen or so videos posted on the local subreddits. In most, "boxed in" is just dealing with normal city traffic. Guessing a lot of country bumpkins who have never been to a city before and upset there are crosswalk, busses, and people on bikes. So they throw a tantrum, gas some elementary school kids and speed off.

It is all just fascist theater for the biggest losers.

Saw reports that ICE was around the corner from my house interrogating construction workers. And a few blocks from me they told a worker something like "I'll come back for you later." I didn't hear about anyone being detained.

Meanwhile, I'm taking my kids around when they go to clubs or the library (oh we've also heard reports they they are hanging out in front of libraries trying to catch nannies) -- pretty much anytime they are out when it's not the beginning or end of a shool day and a ton of kids are around.

Broadview Mayor Katrina Thompson said in a letter to the village's roughly 8,000 residents this week that the Trump administration told village officials that a two-story building used to temporarily hold immigrants before they're detained or deported will serve as the "primary processing location" for the expected operation.

She said local leaders were told the operation will last approximately 45 days, but she didn't say when it might start.

I don't know if that's the same article I saw, but I was pretty sure I saw something similar before, maybe it was 2-3 months, based on how long they told hotels they'd be staying there.

Any Chicago folks hearing any updates that that's not the case still?

Basically, all estimates, by subtracting X - Y and the nos. should be taken with a grain of salt until MSM does more reporting or at least, try to discredit this report (which I've not seen so far).

Currently, illegals can self-deport with an app. However, reading reddit forums, some just leave (why use the app and identify yourself?) because CBP doesn't check when exiting the country (just entering).

When it's all said and done (and/or when the next Dem admin is in place), it will be interesting to see the accepted statistics.
