Has there been any solution to the game automatically re-signing players that are holding out? It happens every time if the player holds out into the season. Minor transactions is not checked or anything like that. I know several people have mentioned this before and it has been reported. But am I missing something?

I've noticed that my team's "defensive strengths" sometimes change throughout the season, in the Strategy->Defensive Gameplanning screen. Anybody know why this is? Are these ratings affected by my injuries/depth chart, or by the strength of my opponent?

I was having a lot of fun with the game and loved how balanced and "unexploitable" it felt, but what made me stop playing was half of my roster getting mono two years in a row and completely derailing the season each time. Felt unrealistic and stressful having like 20 players get sick and being out for upwards of a month. Is there any chance to get this toned down? Feel like it's not something that happens in real life and the only instance I can think of is Sam Darnold a few years ago and he only missed 3 games. But it seems like overkill to have it sideline like half of my roster.
Other than that the only other thing that I feel could be improved a bit is injury designations and players being ruled in or out on game day. Not sure if I just didn't know where to look but it felt like there wasn't much clarity about whether or not injured players would be playing in the game or not. For example if my starting QB is listed as probable with a low chance o reinjury and small performance hit, I expect him to be playing. Frustrating when you have a key player as probable and list them as active and they don't play a single snap in the game. But not sure if I was just missing something. |

As for injuries, I've noticed that sometimes the CPU will bring in your injured player for a drive or two before taking them out. If that's the case I think you can modify the depth chart midmatch and bring them back in, but I've only done that with quarterbacks. I assume if they don't take the first snap, they can't come in at all. |

I just had a playoff game go into OT and team A possesses the ball first and gets a FG, team B punts on 4th down on it's possession and the game plays out until the end of 15 minutes of OT, team A wins by 6 as they kicked a 2nd FG.
Is there some option I'm missing? |

I've had the same issue. I reported this to support: Quote:
Haven't heard back. It looks like my first one, the lack of an extra point, was supposed to be fixed with a patch. Maybe I didn't download the patch, I dunno. The GB Houston one was weird, though. |

Mine was exactly like your GB vs Houston, strange indeed.

How do I figure out the "city" numbers? I've been able to figure out how to create custom teams/leagues by editing the default_teams file but how do pinpoint the city I want the team to be in.

There's a file in your default_data folder (probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Front Office Football Nine\default_data -- EDIT: I just realized you know where that is if you're looking at default_teams, but I'll keep it up here for others ) called cities.csv -- I think you can even make changes to that file too, but mostly you'll just want to use it to look up the city you want and find the ID

got it, didnt think of that. So the files must correlate.
Another question, I know you can only control one team, but can you switch controllable teams within the same save? |

No, there's no switching teams, or mechanism for hiring and firing, you select a team at the beginning and control them the whole time. FYI, there is an option in the game settings (the thing that looks like tools, where you can change the font and background scheme) that lets you determine whether computer-controlled teams are allowed to move. If you're changing what cities teams are in and don't want them to change from what you've set, you'd want to go there and turn that off. |

Draft question:
Is there really no way to see ratings of guys other than clicking on a dude's "r" one at a time? No way to sort by a particular rating? Jim, I love you and FOF, but you really need to get someone to get this interface modernized. I'd love to help with that if possible. I'm not a programmer, but I have done UI in my line of work (instructional design).
