WHAT is this, screw MIZZOU and all of that rah! (FBCB)
My #7 ranked Missouri Tigers were 16-1 and cruising nicely when we ran into the #9 Oklahoma Sooners (16-2). We were the only two teams undefeated in the Big 12. At 16-1 I was enjoying the best season I have had with any team in this career.
We lose. Big. 61-83. 16-2, 5-1 in the Big 12. Not so bad, except what subsequently happens next? Lose to Baylor, Colorado (5-15 COLORADO NO LESS), Colorado State, and Texas. We go from 16-1 and 5-0 in BigXII play to 16-6 and 5-5! WHEN WILL IT END?? Code:

Side note, that is the very first time I have printed from FBCB. How nice is that, automatically pops up and you don't have to save to file. Very nice.

Plus you have like 47 straight home games there. That's gotta have some effect, I would think.

Yes, you were 16-1, but you were beating up on Farleigh Dickinson and Alabama A&M. That's right out of the Herb Sendek School of Basketball Scheduling.

Who knows how good these schools really are, its 2014. The early season Kansas victory looks good on paper, but I have no idea how the Kansas program looks in 2014.

Yeah, get outta here. I put some mediocre teams like Farleigh in there, but no school plays 30 games of top 50 competition (IRL Missouri played & dropped to Belmont. Come on nah...)
It IS 2014, Duke is 79 prestige and hasn't had a winning season since '09, Stanford has won back to back titles, and even UC Irvine of the Big West pulled off a March Miracle and won a crown a few years back. Yes, I did lose to #14 Baylor (21-3) twice. I was beating teams that are good but just weren't ranked earlier in the year, like UNLV. Assume they are average. I beat them when they were #14 and 9-0! So what happened! Grrrr. |

You lost Iowa State? Hmmm that makes you 16-7 (5-6) right?
I predict you will end up 18-10, (7-9) in the conference but will depending on how you do in the conference tourney, I will say you may not make it to the dance unless you win 20 games somehow. Good Luck!

You had a boatload of home games in your 16-1 run, and now you're on the road, so that's one part of the equation.
Has anyone gotten hurt? Have you messed with the depth chart or strategy? How are you getting beat? I've found the individual and team stats can often help me figure out how to fix things and get back on track. Then again, I often just end up making things worse. But hell, your season's shot, you might as well play around with stuff and see if you can fix it. You sure kicked Bowling Green's butt, though. 77-28? Ouch. That's gotta hurt. |

Ugh, what a disappointing second half of a season. Almost disappointing enough to make me want to get the hell out.
Code:
Conference Tournament time. Code:
That conference tourney opening loss was to the #11 (of 12 in the BigXII) and 14-15 Texas A&M (who was also just 3-13 in conference play. Sheesh, where did it all go wrong?). I squeak in the NCAA Championship game as a #11 seed to start off against #6 NC State. We win. We also win again beating #3 seeded (and #6 in country) Oregon! Is this the second half resurgance I have been waiting for?! No. We lose to #2 seed Arkansas in the Sweet 16. Code:

Bowling Green had only 1 win when I played them, I remember. That was fun. Not an injury all year.. no depth chart changes. Just a roller coaster season I suppose. |

Seeya Missouri, I leave for Arizona State to give myself a new challenge: Take over powerhouse Stanford (5 championships in 24 years, including 14 Pac-10 titles). Nice challenge, Arizona State is a 30 prestige point from Missouri (82<<<52)

I'm guess your coach stats are as follows:
Recruiting: 99 Scouting: 1 Offense: 1 Defense: 1

Apparently. Recruiting is 2nd highest to defense, but my offense and scouting are tied I think for the lowest. Oh well.

Speaking of which does anyone know when you get bonus points for your coach is it just based on experience or a run of success? I have gotten them a couple of times but I wasn't sure what it was based on.

Wow, sounds like this game has prefectly emulated the real life Mizzou.
1. Beat up on some scrubs. (Shorty needs to be elected governor of Missouri) 2. Lose some conference road games. (Shorty needs to be fired) 3. Win some conference home games. (Good thing we hired Shorty) 4. Lose early in the big 12 tourney. (Shorty needs to be fired) 5. Win a few games in the NCAA's. (Shorty needs to be elected president of the United States.) 6. Lose heartbreaker in NCAA. (Shorty needs to be fired) Repeat season after season. |

Conference games are automatically scheduled. Those games against Baylor and Kansas early were in whatever preseason tournament I was in (thus why they didn't count for my conference W-L)

Since I like you guys, check out this team I am taking over! Sheesh! 3 tourney appearances total.
Code:
I enter the Pac-10 tourney at 10-18 and facing #1 in the country Stanford (27-3). So much for overpowering them. But ah, I will stay more than 2 years here (that is as long as I could handle Mizzou). We lose to Stanford by 39. This is going to be fun. |

On closer inspection you are right, my fault. Is this the cousin of Coaching a Dynasty? I liked that game a lot but was frustrated when the big 12 wasn't scheudling properly. (A true Mizzou fan has to have home and homes with Kansas) I was getting Baylor and Texas twice a year and visiting KU. Arles (I think that is right) was cool about my input, but I don't know if anything was ever done on that game. It looks like it was fixed in the game you are playing. Is this a pretty good game? |

heavyreign makes this game. It kicks rear, check out the demo for up to three days of full usage. Link is in the All-Inclusive.
BTW, Stanford just won it's 6th title. Impressive. |
