Jeez, who knew the MWC had such firepower?
I reckon most seasons it would take Air Force 3 games to rack up 123 points...

At the title I was thinking maybe a exhibition against Grinnnell.

Nice Nice. In my defense, it's about 2035 or so, after starting in 1980

Schedule with scores Here is a little explanation of what they do... "unique playing and substitution style, which emphasize shooting the ball every 12 seconds and incorporating as many as 16 players per outing. " They averaged 20 made threes a game last year and 124.9 ppg. Last edited by INDalltheway : 01-18-2004 at 12:11 PM. |

I'd love to watch one of their games. Judging solely by the result margin, it looks like both teams are just running lay-up drills. There is no question that whatever strategy they run puts points on the board, but it looks like defense is a dirty word as far as they are concerned.

Sounds like a score from one of the old Loyola Marymount games back when they had Bo Kimble and Hank Gathers.

I guess you're relying on other teams just not having enough firepower to keep up. They literally HAVE to match Grinnell's tempo to win, even if it's not their style. That's pretty good coaching -- you always want the other team to play at your pace.
Those Paul Westhead Loyola teams were fun to watch. LIU used to play that sort of style a few years ago -- I can't remember the coach's name |
