I'm not sure if that should be classified as "being proud of" his ancestry, or "taking advantage of" his ancestry.

I mean, I'm part Polish, but you don't see me insisting that I be given one day a year to do things bass ackwards with no chance of being fired. I'm also part Greek, and you don't see me asking for one day a year when I can...well, I better not go there!
