So, does this qualify as a AAA player?

I don't think I'll be trading up though because I have depth at RB including a two-time 1st teamer/offensive player of the year.

for someone who doesn't have the game...

why do kick and punt return bars seem reversed?

I think he belongs in the majors, not AAA.

Don't know if this is serious or not, but those bars are not reversed so much as he is at the high range for every category EXCEPT returning punts and kicks.

no, I'm serious. I'm assuming it's like FOF4 - the grey bars indicate current level, the blue indicates potential (they are green and red in 4). but that doesn't make sense for the kick/punt return.

sorry if I'm missing the obvious here...

Why wouldn't it? The kick/punt return is ALL potential and no current level.

The blue bars represent the range that the potential could fall in and correspond to the green bars in previous versions. This graph provides no info about the red bars (i.e. current ability). The only clue is the percent developed which is 76%. This player will have mostly red bars after training camp with some potential (24%) to grow into.

Hope that is clear Draft Dodger.

Why does this make no sense? Of the truly great running backs that I can think of only Gayle Sayers did returns. Weathers looks to be an absolute stud (indicated by the blue bars suggesting near maximum future potential in almost every category).

Herschel Walker. Ok, he may not be an all-time great, but I really loved him as a player.

He went to FSU - must be Greg Jones, had he not blown out his knee.

Has anyone ever seen a guy like this in an imported draft? In my imported dafts the best RB I have ever seen is in the mid-70's for potential. NO QB was ever good enuf to be taken #1 and overall, the prospects suck year in and year out. In fact, most of the best players in the draft never did a thing in college...

Unbelievably, he dropped to the 6th pick overall and went to Miami.

I really disliked the fact that Kansas City passed over him at #3 when their number one need was running back with only a scrub signed at the position. They chose a RDE instead which is ok since they didn't have a starter at that position even though they did have a stud at LDE.

My main division rival had the #2 pick and I'm just glad they passed him over as well.

I would have traded up for him ... especially after seeing him drop that far.

Let us know how he looks after camp...

I didn't want to trade up because I had a RB coming off of two consecutive Offensive Player of the Year awards who was still in his prime while making $4.2 million. Plus, I had a decent backup and third stringer.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "draft analysis". His grade was 9.0 with an adjusted rating of 9.6. The next highest adjusted rating was a WR at 9.0 who also had maxed out ratings.

He didn't have a good debut - 11 carries for only 37 yards, including 2 fumbles and only 1 catch for 2 yards.

It will be interesting to keep tabs on him since he's AI controlled. It will be a while though as I scoreboard watch all my games.

I think Bucc was joking about the fact that FOF doesn't have cool things that add to the immersion factor like draft analysis.

I was reminded of this as I just got done reading this week's TSN and it had a section on the top potential sophomores. It presented some good numbers but it also has a statement for each player on his NFL-ability or draftability, just like what NFL scouts have on each potential draftee in real life. Raw numbers never tell the whole story because sometimes the sum is greater or less than each of the parts. But other than that, I was just joking as herd said.

Put 11 players like Willie Weathers on your team, and you'll have a winner.

Well.....Um....Is this the Great White Hope at Tailback? According to Census figures, theres at least a 92.4% chance of that if he's a native North Dakotan.

I suppose being from ND, there is about a 5% chance of him being a native american.

His Indian name could be "He who Runs Swiftly."
