Question
Does Fedex deliver on Saturdays and/or Sundays?

I think they do on Saturdays. They might have some very expensive options to deliver on Sundays.

I'm pretty sure they have home delivery on Saturday. I guess it depends on where they are shipping it from, and what method they used (ground, express, etc). You should be able to go to fedex.com, type in the zip codes (from and to), and get an estimate of how long it would take.

Make sure that the clerk accepting the package knows that it needs to get to you by Saturday. Once, my fiancee had a package sent to her that had to get there on a Saturday. The person sending it told the clerk--she needs it the next day. The clerk heard "she needs this the next business day." The best bet will be to have the person tell the clerk--Skydog needs this on Saturday or there will be hell to pay.

They have to request Saturday delivery. Otherwise you won't get it until Monday.

FedEx Saturday Services
Your best bet is to have the person shipping the stuff to you call FedEx and say "I need to get this to wherever by Saturday." They might have a couple of options to get it done, although they'll probably direct them to the highest-price one. |

No. It didn't come. I'm not expecting a BUNCH of CD's--at least not yet. Right now, I'm expecting just one--from the producer. I'm actually not 100% sure he was going to ship it on Friday anyway. It may not have gone out until today.

Too bad you didn't get it.
I, for one, am anxiously awaiting the release. |

Well, here's where it all stands right now...
Ed (producer) and I talked on Friday morning. He has decided to change his approach overall to the CD--adding a little more production across the board. He's got me pretty stoked. He said to me, "I think this is going to end up being a much more special project than you or I had ever thought." He said he'd Fedex me for my approval suggested final versions of three of the songs, all using the "new" production style. He hoped to get it out Friday, but said it could take until today. Once I get those from him and tell him that I approve (which is an almost forgone conclusion--I've yet to hear production work by him that I haven't enjoyed), he will finish the other 7 songs. He said that could take a few weeks. Meanwhile, Discmakers is designing the CD artwork as we speak. My account rep there said that they should be mailing a proof of the CD, back panel, front panel booklet and poster to me by the middle of this week. I wanted to get all of that taken care of, so that once the music side of things is complete, they can go immediately into printing the CD's. They have told me that by doing it this way, it should be only about 2 weeks from the time they receive the master until the time I receive 5,000 CD's, shrink-wrapped in jewel cases, and 300 posters.

BUMP:
Received the package from Disc Makers this morning. I am VERY pleased with the cover design work they have done. A few minor changes will be done, but overall their work is a go.
