UC = C-USA Champions
Anyone see Bobbit get drilled in the balls by the guy from DePaul (INTENTIONALLY!)? That had to hurt.
Anyways, this was big this year as we have had our ups and downs (win 15 in a row, drop 4 of next 6), and we are going into the Tourney very confident winning the C-USA Tournament in what is the conference's best year to date (6 teams are going to make it, easy). I am really thinking these 'Cats might go past Round 2 this year, we have both outside and inside players, finally not relying on one guy. |

well congrats shorty.
Anyone who survived that tournament to win it deserves some props. It was in my opinion the deepest conference/tournament this year. Hopefully that will show in the NCAA tournament.

C-USA has definitely been great this year... but I don't think you could say they're the deepest. That honor would have to go to the ACC, where any team in the top 6 could easily win their conference tournament, they've just been beating each other up this year, and many WILL go deep into the NCAA's. Teams like Duke, NC State, Wake, GA Tech, UNC, even Maryland should be dangerous.

Wasn't the C-USA tournament IN Cincinnati? Given that UC is a basketball factory, I would EXPECT them to win the tournament there. That ain't nothin' to be proud of.

This shouldn't undermine what a fantastic season Depaul has had. Dave Leitao has really brought the program back to its feet after only two years of Fat Kennedy's tyranny.
