Little Arrested For DWI

You have to be kidding. This is one grade-A dumbass, and I'm a Rams fan.

If this proves to be true (and it usually does), throw th3e back at this guy. Six years after killing the mother of a family in a drunk driving accident and this guy is still driving drunk?

Ugh...what's really horrible is even if he is convicted, he'll still likely only get a suspended sentence and be forced to not drive for a long while, since this time it was just a pull over DWI, rather than a felonious, fatal accident.

I have a DUI on my record, so I am no saint. But it was the stupidest thing I ever did. I never touched alcohol and the driver's seat of a car in the same night again (in fact, I pretty much don't drink anymore, period, because of that experience).

I can't fathom how someone could go through what Little did and still be driving drunk. This guy needs serious help.

But I agree with you 100% How arrogant can one guy be? Talk about thinking you are invincible. The sad part about this is that fans will stomp and cheer for him next season as long as he keeps on producing.

Frankly I thought the guy deserved to be pounded in the ass for 10 years the first time. I think he'll get the book thrown at him this time.

How someone gets off the first time like he did is a travesty. This guy needs to be put away before he hurts somebody again.

I hope Missouri has some tough laws on this. Just shows how weak the system is that you can kill someone and walk away to have the opportunity to do it all over again. Fortunately the bastard didn't kill anyone this time.

A probable cause statement filed by police said Little had bloodshot and watery eyes, smelled of alcohol and failed three sobriety tests. The statement said Little admitted drinking alcoholic beverages. Little was suspended without pay for the first half of the 1999 season after he pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in a 1998 accident that killed Susan Gutweiler. In that case, Little's blood-alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit. Along with the charges filed Monday in St. Louis County Circuit County, Little could again face another lengthy suspension from the NFL. "Our only comment will be it will be reviewed under terms of the substance abuse policy," league spokesman Greg Aiello said Monday, before the charges were filed. "We have to wait until it works its way through the courts and there's a resolution, but players are accountable."

The NFL's guideline for a drunken-driving conviction is a fine of half a regular-season game check up to $20,000, barring unusual circumstances. Subsequent violations result in increased discipline as determined by the commissioner, Aiello said. Little completed his sentence of 90 days in the city workhouse, 1,000 hours of community service and four years' probation in 2002. Mothers Against Drunk Drivers picketed the Edward Jones Dome when Little played his first game in 1999 after serving an eight-game suspension. The organization protested again Monday. Little has been with the Rams his entire six-year career. He was fifth in the NFL in sacks last year despite missing a month with a torn chest muscle.
