Extraordinarily Sad Right Now

Sitting at my permanent home in San Jose right this very minute are two unused tickets in the lower reserved section of SBC Park to the Giants game tonight.

My dad had arthroscopic knee surgery yesterday, and isn't able to do much of anything. Instead of doing something with the tickets (or calling me ), they just held on to them. Wow.

Is your Dad the guy that forked over $25 grand for the seats in the home run section? If so, I'd be pissed as well.

Bummer seeing decent seats go to waste, especially on a milestone night.

Only because the Dodgers threatened to allow people in to sit in those seats for free if they were only partially filled. He scammed the system and made the Dodgers look bad. He bought the seats in bulk for $3.50 a seat, and was selling them for $15 a pop (face value, I assume, which would be legal).

I was at the game in which TD went over 2000 yards for the season. Still have the ticket stub somewhere. That's my biggest brush with history (unless you count the fact that I was at the game in Denver where NVE shoved the ref).

Also, he made the buyers sign a form agreeing to split the proceeds from any Bonds ball they might get.

Yes! That was the one thing that absolutely shocked me. I would have told him to fuck off and enjoy his $25K worth of seats.

I was at the Kings game the night Gretzky broke the scoring record. I'll never forget that night.

I was fortunate enough to be at the game tonite, and it was by far the greatest feeling I've ever had at a sporting event. It's really hard to describe, it was just chilling. My seats were 4 rows up from the field on the 3rd base side, a little behind the Giants bullpen mound. I was pretty much straight across from a man who has hit 700 career home runs. It was unreal, and was something i shant ever forget.
