Oh I definitly root for the Sox over the Yanks. Even though, I am not from here .. a big part of baseball for me is being able to go to games and root for the local team...

But I do get humored by my wife's yearly suicidal routine as the Sox head into August.

This seems like as good a place as any to mention that in Jayson Stark's most recent column, he notes that the Devil Rays have a better record (25-21) since July 1 than the Red Sox (25-22).

See you in the ALCS, Marm.

If you can handle the Twins that is.

Only a Sox fan (or Angels fan) would be satisfied with a Wild Card.

I am not talking playoffs, I am talking AL EAST Champions. It is the Yankees, for the 6th straight year. You ever going to step up and knock us off, or at least challenge us?

Does anyone really care, as long as you make the playoffs? I bet the 2003 Angels and 1997 Marlins didn't care.

Calling all Red Sox fans. New season, same results. Nice outting by your ace.

Maybe. We'll just have to wait and see. It would be nice if the Red Sox won the division, but both teams are going to the playoffs, and that's all that really matters.
