I assume that all discussion/reports will occur in dynasty threads?

This has the potential of being one of the best dynasties out there.

No, that's cool with me. By region would be wise, I think. Does anyone have handy TCY access for a list of the regions? I want to say:

Northeast
Mid-Atlantic
Southeast
Great Lakes
Deep South
Midwest
Southwest
Northwest

But I think I'm missing one.

I'd be interested in the Offensive Coordinator spot (and I promise not to run the wishbone.) I usually run the "I" in TCY (although HFP and others lament that I ran the single-back in my Kentucky career on the old board.)

Ugh, I was afraid this would happen. Seems the "head coach" screwed up and got a couple guys out of order. Unfortunately, that means that the last person that requested a position may be left out (unless they want special teams coach, though I'm not sure that's even a viable option). Unless I'm mistaken, that would mean Icy doesn't have a spot. Can anyone think of something we are missing regarding a phase of the game that would be fun for Icy to handle? Since this is a plan in progress, we may find that we stumble on something we're not aware of now.

Reserved spots are Skydog and Tredwel, and the two spots open are offensive backs and DB coach.

Ticket Prices
Scheduling
Coach Hiring/Firing (to keep us honest and involved)
Retreats to Vegas

WSUCougar, do you have any problem with splitting the duties?

My thinking is that each position coach is also primarily responsible for recruiting his own position group -- and that the recruitin coordinator(s) would just oversee all the competing needs and decide where to allocate the visits and such.

Whether that RC job requires one person or more is up to you all -- but I don't think a regional breakdown meshes with this idea very well.

But, if we decide to go with regions (as it seems)... that's okay with me. It might not leave much for the position coaches to do, though.

I think a good idea would be to have an overall recruiting coordinator and then a regional coordinator for each region. The regional coordinators work with the position coaches and provide recommendations to the recruiting coordinator.

Has there been any thought process about what program we're going to run into the ground?

I realize that recruiting is a big job, but I think the cfoordinators will be tremendously offloaded if the position coaches are partly responsible for finding their particular "gotta have" recruits. Therefore, I think that a combo WSUCougar/cthomer is probably good enough. They will take in the requests from the particular position coach and massage it with their own thinking to come up with a list of recruits to go after each week. Once that has been finalized, it will be approved by myself and we'll get this ship rolling.

However, there is one advantage to having a recruiter for each region. They can therefore provide input regarding the individual scout that will be "servicing" them. Hiring scouts is about as much fun as doing the laundry in TCY for me. I'd love to offload that.

Icy, if you'd like to be the special teams coach, it's yours. I'm not sure how much work there would be to do as you're only dealing with 2 positions, but I'll hold it open if you'd like it.

Let me know...(and sorry for the misunderstanding)

Icy, you're welcome to step in and take over the DL if you are interested -- I can take up a role as an assistant coordinator, or else help with the recruiting. That'd be fine by me.

Icy, hanging around until someone (inevitably) drops out would probably be a wise move.

QuikSand thanks for the offer but you asked for it before me so you deserve it, it's fair.

About Special Teams, i saw at the Dynasty recent tread that mckerney asked for that position already and i don't want to remove him from there once he was asigned.

No problem guys, i'll follow the dynasty, download the files etc and will be fun too and helpfully to learn more. Also will step in if somebody can't keep with his job in the future.

I said I'd take the position if it wasn't filled, and you had a shot at it before I did, and as far as I know I was never assigned, so I don't want to take the position if you want it. I'd have no problem waiting behind you at special teams, and then if someone else left have you take over the open position and then I could take over special teams.

Sounds fair mckerney thanks

CraigSca count on me then for Special teams coach/scout. I'm not sure what can be done here as Special teams is a secondary skill, but apart form looking for good Special Teams specialists, i will review every other scout player recomendations to see if one of them could also help our special teams. Also will step in if any other staff position becomes available.

Since Vegas Vic has graciously stepped down as linebackers coach (due to unforseen circumstances), we now have a vacancy at special teams coach. Vexroid posted that he wanted to be a recruiting coordinator a few hours before mckerney asked to be signed up, I'm going to leave it open to Vex. If he doesn't want it, the mckerney is next in line.

Vexroid, let me know asap if you want/can join the staff. Thanks!
