Am I the only one who thinks Michigan is better of letting Texas score now instead of wasting any chance at a win?

Sad that Carr has already accepted the loss. They could have forced Texas to at least kick off and defend a couple of plays after the field goal.

Why did Michigan not call its Time Outs?

I really think stadium announcers should start playing Vanilla Ice whenever a coach calls a time out before a big kick.

Agreed. I kept yelling at the screen to take them. I thought for sure they were out... I hate this "ice" the kicker. It never works. Todd

Lot of penetration on the line, thought UM was going to block that.

It actually looked like one of the blue players got a piece of football on the replay, or is it just me? |

Sigh. I actually thought that would fall short at first. What a terrible coached game from Michigan. Just completely mismanaged.

oh, btw, i have nothing bad to say about michigan. what an effort. texas' pass d has made a lot of good qb's look foolish, yet henne played great. hart is phenomenal. he's the best running back we've seen this year. good game all around, and the media and fans can go f themselves

I admit that I just sat down to watch the Rose Bowl and felt myself rooting for Michigan because our boy Jim is an Alumni. It was sad that the Wolverines defense was like butter at the end, but you gotta give props to Young and to a kicker that had to be nervous as hell. Also, if the Michigan QB could have just hit a couple more passes (he was overthrowing too much) the outcome might have been different. But Texas and Young came through in the clutch.
Great, great game. It reminds me of everything good about college football. |

Mack Brown needs to fire the special teams coach. My local junior high school team does a better job on kickoff coverage. WTF did Michigan average for the game, something like 50 yards per return?

If "everyone" includes you, the world is now a much better place. Talk to us again when you face OU next year. Congrats Senator, happy for you they won the game. It was a terrific game. I think in the end we learned what we already knew: Texas and Michigan are the two worst coached "elite" programs in the country. |

I still think we missed a bullet in several areas - as usual. They messed around and put the ball on the left hashmark, and I was just sitting there saying that the world is not very fair when an idiot like that makes that kind of money.

Michigan let a possible national championship go to waste this season. By going with a true freshman at QB it wasted a lot of the talent that was on this team. Think about it... Last year with Navarre Michigan looked to have an amazing tro of receivers. This year Edwards won the Biletnikof award despite Henne staring him down on nearly every play. He made highlight catch after highlight catch because the ball wasn't being put where he needed it in the first place. Avant & Breaston practically disappeared this season. I would NEVER play a true freshman QB unless there was absolutely nobody else who could throw past 10 yards. No matter how talented a kid is he needs more time than a few months... Henne better make MAJOR improvements for next season based on what he learned this year. It's too bad Guiterez hurt his sholder. That lefty must really suck to be beat out by a kid who just started shaving...

Clayton Richard should be taking the snaps there... I may be bias because he is one of my brother's good friends, but that is just how I feel.

I don't get Michigan's little "trick" plays. If you're going to run tricks, do the real deal, not some half-assed cookie cutter ones.

The key to the flea-flicker (provided it doesn't get busted up by the defensive line) is to actually throw the ball on target. Especially to #1, you have to give him a chance to compete for that football.
