The Sound of Electronic/Mechanical Devices Going Insane

Would anyone like to know the exact sound and pattern of all the electronic/mechanical devices in my house turning off and turning back on? I can now recite the exact order perfectly.

Helluva ice storm last night here, which caused power in the entire city to go off and on starting around 3am, and ending around 7am. Power cycled on and off around 30 times (that I was awake for). Was INSANE. It'd die for a minute or two, go back on, die again, repeat. Over and over.

The sound of 'answering now on, *beep*' still haunts me. I actually was having a dream that integrated that horrific statement. Apparently, I was playing some RTS, and the unit production sound was 'answering now on'. Lordy.
