Note to Self: Never ask A.J. Pierzynski, "How much does it hurt"?

http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cg...PG6IAQNH81.DTL

One of those now-it-can-be-told stories the White Sox, A.J. Pierzynski's new employer, surely haven't heard: During a Giants exhibition game last spring, Pierzynski took a shot to his, shall we say, private parts. Trainer Stan Conte rushed to the scene, placed his hands on Pierzynski's shoulders in a reassuring way, and asked how it felt. "Like this," said Pierzynski, viciously delivering a knee to Conte's groin. It was a real test of professionalism for the enraged Conte, who vowed to ignore Pierzynski for the rest of the season until Conte realized how that would look. The incident went unreported because all of the beat writers happened to be doing in-game interviews in the clubhouse, but it was corroborated by a half-dozen eyewitnesses who could hardly believe their eyes. Said one source, as reliable as they come: "There is absolutely no doubt that it happened."

I think this is what George W Bush would do to AJ if he saw him

i'm surprised the dude didn't file charges. He prolly could have made a mint, and who cares if he never would have worked again in baseball. That's assault and battery man. Serious $$ there for him.

edit: especially with witnessess

I'm sure when he gave him a pain reliever it was that excellent one named Placibo...

Isn't that horrible? But me neither.

I mean, if we saw that exact scene played out on a movie screen, we would probably bust a gut laughing (of course, knowledge it ain't real helps us move past the "pain").

Funny or not, yeah, that Pierzynski must be a serious asshole.

If it had been anyone other than the trainer, then I probably wouldn't have blamed him. I've always hated that "does it hurt?" question when I look like I'm in serious pain. But the guy is the freaking trainer, that's his job, to assess how badly a player is hurt and treat him. Grade A move by AJ.

The Sox trainer ought to make a big show at Spring Training where he puts on a cup in front of AJ in the locker room.

The only thing that makes me laugh about it is picturing the scene where one guy is doubled over, then he knees a second guy and now you've got 2 guys doubled over, and then taking that and imagining it happening to every guy who comes over to see what's the matter. Kinda like those skits where one person pukes and causes a chain reaction of puking among 20 people.

Maybe he got confused and thought it was Victor Conte.

You know, that's a jerk move by Pierzynski and all, but I have a little sympathy for the guy. Honestly, what sort of man goes over to another man who just took a shot in the package and says "So, how does it feel?"

Yeah, but... "How does it feel?" You're a doctor, how do you think it feels?

But maybe if he said he didn't feel anything, then the trainer would have a good idea as to whether AJ would need to get the rest of the vasectomy done.
