Player contracts in FOF4.........

Have they made any improvments on player contracts in FOF4??

One of the biggest problems i had in FOF2002 was having crappy players demanding outragous contracts. Its hard to have a couple Average back-ups because they want so much freaking money, espcially quarterbacks. Even the most worthless piece of crap quarterback would demanded like 4-5 million a year. And the stupied AI would give it to them.

I always ended up signing a bunch of guys to 1 year contracts after the season starts or have a bunch of worthless rookies as backups.

The contract problems have been fixed for the most part. That's why I like the game so much. But you still will have salary cap problems if you have a few really good players. But at least they are starters asking for money.

Ray Lucas. You had to bring him up. He is the sole reason the Dolphins didn't make the playoffs. That had to be the worst 3 game stint in the history of the NFL, don't you think.

Actually, I totally agree with you. Being a Rutgers grad and a Jet fan, I was really sad to see Ray Lucas go, and felt he was shafted by the Jets. He had played excellent in 1999, and they would have made the playoffs had he been named starter earlier (instead Rick Mirer was playing... oh god).

But he blew his chance big time last year, and it looks like it will cost him his roster spot before the season begins. I think he'll end up in New England backing up Tom Brady.

I'm just glad we resigned FB- Konrad. He opened some big holes last season for Ricky.
If Lucas can play like he did last season, (if Brady gets hurt), that will help the other AFC East teams. We can only hope.

Yeah... Ray Lucas is horrible. I was always skeptical of Jay Feedler. But after watching Ray come in and play it gave me a whole new respect for Feedler( i know im spelling that wrong ) He's a very average Quarterback but with that defense and Ricky running the ball thats all they need.

And Konrad is a beast. I'd love to have him on the Redskins.

All I can say is if the Fins release Lucas, look for the bengals to make him their starter.

The Bungles might take both Quincy Carter and Ray Lucas in case one of them plays well they can try the other guy just to lose.

they are working very hard on a trade for Chris Weinke as well.

Unfortunately though, talks to bring Ryan Leaf out of retirement have stalled.

LOL

Ryan Leaf would be the guy they need to definitely stay in the basement.

We lost FB Lorenzo Neal the Bolts as well. Ladanian is going to love running behind him.

There is a 'Master Plan' in Cincinnati for the Bengals. It involves state sanctioned assassination at the highest level of the organisation, however.
