That's a pretty cool story. Oh, and shameless plug: if you're ever in KC, The Negro Leagues Hall of Fame is definitely worth a trip.

I was thinking this story was begging to be turned into a movie, and then I get to the bottom of the page and see that it's already in the works. Hopefully it gets an honest treatment an not a typical Hollywood hack-job.
