OT: Oscar to Chris Cooper
I didn't see many of the films up for awards this year, but the thing I felt most strongly about was Chris Cooper's performance in Adaptation. I'm delighted to see him win. I'm turning the TV off now.

Cooper has been great for a very long time.
His acting was awesome in Matewan, Eight Men Out, October Sky, and, especially, American Beauty. Glad to see a guy like him get a little recognition. |

October Sky was fantastic.
He's been in quite a lot of movies. In the post interview, he said that people say his career suffered because he took obscure roles. He said that was the greatest compliment ever. I must agree, he does the minor roles great! |

Picked up $200 bucks on that one, but lost $600 on Day Lewis getting snubbed by piano boy.

100% agreed, he was great in Adaptation, October Sky and many other films - nice to see those performances rewarded. |
