Pizza Driver Shot in Leg continues to make deliveries

http://www.wkbt.com/Global/story.asp?S=3440509

TAMPA, Fla. It'll apparently take more than being shot to keep Thomas Stefanelli from making his rounds as a pizza delivery man.

He suffered a gunshot wound to his leg Saturday, but the 37-year-old continued to make four more deliveries in Tampa, Florida. He says he was shot by a man in a Halloween mask who was demanding money.Stefanelli says his cell phone wasn't working, so he drove to his next delivery address to call his boss.He then made three more deliveries before being taken to a hospital. An X-ray showed no serious damage and police say they have identified several suspects. I wonder if he got better tips.

The most disturbing thing is that it isn't Halloween.

I'm glad to hear they have suspects, because his story smells awfully funny without that fact.

I never posted about this, but my next door neighbor got shot and killed the night before halloween by a guy in a 20's gangster costume. He also took hostages over there. We got evacuated from our house and snipers and the SWAT team came in here. It was insane.

If I worked with this guy, I'd just quit right now. Pretty much there is no excuse for calling in sick that would ever work.

This thread goes from the hero pizza delivery guy to this wuss. Taken from the same site as the first story.

NEW YORK A New York law enforcement official says a security videotape shows an officer fleeing after a drug suspect shot and wounded his partner.

The source says the tape from a nearby building security camera indicates several minutes passed before the officer returned to help his wounded partner. A bulletproof vest saved Patrick Caprice's life, but he's still in the hospital with a wound from a bullet fragment.

New York Police Department officials say officer Gilberto Marrero is off active duty. He could face disciplinary action.
A spokesman for the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association says a union lawyer represented Marrero during questioning.

The incident began after the officers spotted a suspect buying marijuana in Brooklyn and pulled him over. Caprice and the man exchanged fire. Officials say the suspect killed himself before he could be captured.
