When I was much younger I remember seeing Superchunk open for Fugazi (memory hazy - I could be wrong). I remember knowing nothing at all about Superchunk, but being impressed by them. |

I downloaded a Def Leppard bootleg a month or so ago and just got around to checking it out. It's a very good recording from 1983 at the LA Forum. Anyone want a copy?

I'd say the group Yes would be probably my all-time fave, because their album 'Fragile' really opened my ears up to a new world of music that I never knew existed... more so than even Radiohead's 'OK Computer'.

I think I would shoot myself if my favorite band booked this gig:
Def Leppard will reportedly perform two songs on ABC's "Live with Regis and Kelly" airing Thursday, June 30 at 9:00 a.m. The band are expected to play one of their classic hits as well as a new song for the "Live" audience.

Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band - The River
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood However, now I'm mellowing with age and listen more to folk like Stan Rogers or Chuck Brodsky.

Promotion is promotion, I s'pose. I'm just pissed that their concert in Schaumburg sold out. At the time I was trying to get tickets, it was the ONLY show on the whole freaking tour that was sold out. |

I guess. It probably has more to do with the target audience of 30-something moms who remember Pour Some Sugar On Me than anything else. And I remember when John Waite plaed Regis a few years ago. Not my favorite artist, but I've always been a big fan of his from the Babys through his recent solo stuff.
We're getting old. I can't wait until Cadillac whips out a Slayer song to try to sell its 2018 STS.

Throwing Copper is good, but Mental Jewelry is better. It's tough to say what my all-time favorite band is, because I've had so many different bands were favorites at different points in my life. If I were to be forced to pick one a gunpoint (which is effectively the idea of this thread) it would be Alice in Chains. 1. Dirt 2. Jar of Flies 3. Facelift |
