Ok, so I have one of these hattrick teams

Just got it. Tell me how bad off I am. I guess my league is just starting.

Team: Mississippi Golden Eagles FC
League V 1.67 (what division am I in?)
Can anyone tell me the rank of players? (i.e. what comes first disastours or inadequate?)
I am still in the USA Cup, winning my last 4 matches.
Arena size is 7000.
Sponsors and supporters are calm.
Fan club is 504 members.

What should I do first?

You're in D5. That used to be the lowest level, but they added a new division. The highest division is the MLS, and then it goes D2, D3..........

yes you can change it everyday...multiple time a day if you want...but it won't do any good....training is weekly, and takes place tomorrow night (our time)...it only happens once a week, so the training you have set when training takes place is what gets trained...also most people will only train one thing for a very long time. I am training defenders, so I have a bunch of young defenders that I train, and I plan on training defense for atleast all of next season.

Dola, found my economy. I have $300,000 US spending money.

How do I find the transfer market? I need a keeper depserately. The strongest player I have is inadequate.

Also Calis and MylesKnight, I would be glad to schedule a friendly.

You probably won't be able to schedule a friendly for next week since the cup games start that week....when looking for players be sure to check all the other countries markets...to do that there is a little box in the upper-lefthand corner of your screen that says "Your In ____" then under it you can choose a bunch of countries...you pick a country, then Transfer (it will be on the left)...and you can search all the markets...passable keepers usually go for 60k- 100k....if you are patient you might be able to find one for very cheap 70k and lower.

Dola- GoldenEagle, I just looked at your team....and you have a poor coach...it is probably a good idea to fire him and try to atleast get a passable coach, solid is the best.

I think I'll hang onto him, but he may have to go...any opinions..hmmm

sure...i can look at your players...but you have to post them here, just copy and paste, hattrick doesn't let other users looks at the other teams player ratings (be easier to 'plan' for a team') and yeah keep that coach.

Ok, so I was looking at one of the past matches my team played under the previous owner.

SIMO
Player rating and Team formation
Midfield: weak
Right Side Defence: weak
Central Defence: passable
Left Side Defence: passable
Right Side Attack: passable
Central Attack: inadequate
Left Side Attack: passable

Not bad. The problem is none of the players are on my team anymore. Why?

Just after a quick look over your roster i see you need a passsable keeper.
Areval- is a very good wingback, would probably sell for atleast $60k, but you should keep him.
You should fire- Frosythe, Yaw-Min. Also frie McCavley & Ridley, but first you need to check to see if either is a 'clown' since they both have solid leadershit...if should say something like a fiery player who is tempermental and honest, or something close to that...post that and then i am sure someone can tell you if either is a good clown...
I would also start Dorsey & Vera as my 2 Central defenders.

Guitierrez appears to be your best forward, and also your set-pieces guy.

Edit: When you get a team it gives you an entire new team....new players, coach...everything.

Any new owner gets a fresh set of new players when they take over a team. Think of it as a restart. So, prior history for your club before you took over is interesting, but not really a reflection of your current club.

"Solid" is as good as it gets for coaches, and some guys have spent $500,000+ trying to get one. You definitely want to keep this coach.

Also, as an FYI for everyone, following is the weekly schedule for the U.S. All times are Central, so adjust accordingly:

Sunday @ 6:00PM - League/Qualification Matches
Wednesday @ 6:00PM - Cup/Friendly Matches
Thursday @ 8:30PM - Weekly Training Updates
Saturday @ 6:30PM - Weekly Financial Updates (this is when you can try to promote a new youth squad player as well).

I think sterlingice or someone as planning to throw together a Hattrick FAQ. Also, you might want to check out the beginning of my dynasty thread, as I get into some of the basics as to how the game runs.

Naturally, I'm willing to answer any questions as well, but if you need a quick answer, you're probably better off sending me a PM. Questions posted on here tend to get lost "in the clutter."
