Strangely, I had the CPU run blocking at either 12 or 13 before trying Jistic's sliders. Jistic has it set at 18. Part of the problem might be that I dropped from 10 minutes per quarter to only 8, so the rushing numbers are down. I'll have to try 9 minutes and see how that plays.

Using my varsity sliders I'm getting slightly too high YPC for my RB (which I am adjusting), and the passing yardage is almost perfect. It started off as Varsity sliders from ncaautopica.com, and I have altered them to get the best CPU vs. CPU stats to start, and will tailor the human settings afterwards. Interceptions are about okay, total yardage is pretty close (but damn, these 10 minute games take forever!), and I'm very happy with how they're turning out so far. I will try to post them tonight after making a few other last minute changes.

Ahh, I thought you were using the old sliders posted by Todd from the guy at OS. Those sliders had run blocking and run ability at 19 or 20 (I can't remember at the moment.) |

THESE ARE NEXT ON MY LIST TO TRY OUT: The games seem a tad too easy for me and I can run at will.
For those that have found Jistics sliders a little to easy, give these a try. I am a 29 year old gamer who has always been pretty good. I have found that with these settings, I lose to teams that are 2 letter grade steps (b vs a-) have a chance against 1 letter grade differance (b+ vs A-) and if I play smart, will usually beat teams that are ranked the same as me. I can easily beat teams that are rated lower than be, but if I get away from my gameplan, I can lose as well. in actual time, how long does a 9-min quarters game take to finish?
I haven't bought the game yet, still waiting to see if people are able to find a slider set they are reasonably happy with. Seems like this latest set sounds pretty good. Last edited by fflix : 07-30-2004 at 12:39 PM. |

Really depends on how you play. A rushing game will go a lot faster than a passing game. It does take a few hours to play a game IMO.

When I played 10-minute quarters, each game generally took me about 90 minutes, and that's with a fairly pass-heavy offense. If you play a more balanced game, I'd expect 9-minute quarters to take about 75 minutes for the whole game.

I think it only takes me about 60 minutes or so.

I use 8 mins and it takes about 40-45 mins to play a game, but I also like to see replays over and over on a good run or passing TD.

I tried some of the recent sliders last night for half a game (it was going on 3), and both teams were completing a decent amount of passes. And I dominated Ohio with Indiana, so that was realistic I suppose. Will have to try another game with more evenly matched team.
Played a couple games online last night. Won one, lost one. Of course, the guy who I beat in a close game quit with 3 seconds left and my victory never showed up in my record. Why can't they fix that problem? It's not like it really matters that much, but it's annoying. Are people that sad that they can't take a loss? |

i took mizzoura's sliders and knocked defensive awareness up a few notches around 6 or 7. it's a tiny bit more realistic, plus it drives me nuts to have a DB there who doesnt even attempt to make a play. even if his sliders are 100% correct i would throw something through a window eventually

The sliders were from someone at OS, but I like where they're at.

Ok, these are the same as above, but I love them so far:

There is only 10 'clicks' for penalties so remember far left is '0' but far right is '10'. I don't remember the penalty names but just add this in order and it will be fine. 9 9 7 10 10 (this is a MUST, it helps the CPU passing game) 6 10 8 8 1 (i like my celebrations, adjust to taste) Sub out: 80% Sub In: 85% Last edited by MizzouRah : 08-09-2004 at 08:42 PM. |

Ok, so I started yet another dynasty using a hybrid of my, Jistic and Natedogg's sliders on AA mode. Northern Illinois visited Maryland, I was Maryland. Was a tough game and we were actually down 17-14 starting the 4th quarter. Their HB ran for over 100 yards and their QB passed for 50% and over 200 yards. Fortunately, we were able to comeback and defeat them, 35-17. However, I came away from the game with a good feeling because my defense wasn't just "3-and-out"ing them all game long, and my offense had a few drives where I could not muster a thing (the 3rd quarter in particular my offense did NOTHING). So, I finally think I have some sliders that I can play with, and I look forward to starting my first REAL dynasty with this game - yay!
The best part (he says sarcastically) is when I tried to save after week 1 - my memory card was full (surprise!), and it wouldn't automatically go to the 2nd card. So...I tried deleting the two previous dynasties I attempted, but I couldn't do that without exiting to the main screen. After deletion, when I went back to dynasty mode, I got the familliar "Load/New Dynasty" screen. Ugh. Nothing more frustrating than playing for an hour and 30 minutes and realizing you have to start all over again. Needless to say, I shut the PS2 off. I guess I'll play Northern Illinois again tonight. |

You can't in 2006. They're referring to sliders in the 2005 version. |
