Jeez, Radii, how many hands have been played at your tables so far? I can't imagine how many hands it takes to get to this point.

I realize that I'm used to 4-tabling ring games, but it's hard for me to wrap my head around 523 hands in 390 minutes (including breaks). The biggest reason that I'm terrible in MTT's is that I'm just too impatient. Hell, that's why I'm terrible at SnG's. I guess it's ring games only for me until I get my patience back. Thanks for posting those stats, Radii, and congrats. I'm going to watch for a few more minutes, but I have to be awake in less than 4 hours. This ain't easy.

I didn't either. He could have forced me to make a stand with jack or queen high really easily. Every single time I raised him pre-flop after the break I was willing to go all in, and would have on any flop no matter what. Mostly I had ace-x or decent kings. The only big hand I got after the break was AK, and he folded to me. But it was the situations where he took a 5 mil to 3 mil lead(or rather, I came back some to make it only 5 mil to 3 mil) and he would pound me back into the ground. I don't nkow if he was hitting his flops or not obviously, but in almost all of those hands I had Ax or Kx, occasionally QT or something like that, I would raise pre-flop, make a solid bet on the flop and he'd call quickly. WTF do I do on the turn with nothing? I was desparatly waiting ot hit any hand, any pair, anything at all so I could check-raise him all in on the turn b/c I laid down such a pattern of giving up on hands on the turn. But I just never hit a single time to get in those situations. |

I am now really glad I played in the Colossal Squid Sunday. I have now played poker with someone who played poker with Chris Moneymaker.
I am all tingly. EDIT: Congrats Radii - I hope you blew off work today to sleep and count your money.

I told him to stay home and celebrate, but he has too much going on at work so he left a little while ago. I was planning on sleeping in until I heard the news - $7K is definitely enough to get me out of bed before 9 am! |

Well, considering I didn't fall asleep til about 2, I probably wouldn't have gotten up for that. But if he'd woke me up and said "I'm about to win either 7k or 12k, that would have gotten me out of bed...at which point he would have told me about Moneymaker and I would have cared. |
