OT: question about hockey World Championships
Im too lazy to look...
The World Cup of hockey is every four years? The World Championships are every year? What was the tournament that was held, in part, at the Excel in St. Paul in 2002? Was that the world cup? I thought it was. If so, then the cup is played every 6 years? Isn't the next one in 2008? thanks

The World Championships are held every year in Europe, usually during the NHL playoffs.
I don't know if there are any fixed dates for the World Cup of Hockey, but the last tournament was held in 2004, and the previous tournament was played in 1996. In EHM it appears to come around every 4 years. The only major tournament held in 2002 was the Winter Olympics. I think you are thinking of the 2004 World Cup. 2002 was the Olympics. The World Championships are every year, and the World Cup is supposed to be every 4 years. Of course, there have only been 2 world Cups since the Canada Cup tournament was cancelled, in 1996 and 2004.
