With a 7-vote lead and less than an hour left, I've called this race. Jimmy Buffett will be wasting away somewhere off of the Island.
How They Went: 1. Jennifer Lopez, 26 of 60 votes, 43.33%, Michael Jackson second with 14 votes. 2. Michael Jackson, 15 of 38 votes, 39.47%, Rush second with 6 votes. 3. Madonna, 18 of 40 votes, 45.00%, Rush second with 11 votes. 4. Rush, 8 of 26 votes, 30.77%, 3 others tied with 5 votes. 5. Jimmy Buffett, 15 of 33 votes, 45.45%, Smashing Pumpkins second with 8 votes. Last edited by Kodos : 04-16-2003 at 01:56 PM. |

Yes, Buffet is gone! I'm after the Pumpkins next, simply because Billy Corgan doesn't even attempt to sing. His live performances are awful.

I'm there (as I had been the past few rounds). I would have prefered them being off before Jimmy because I can relate to a happy laid-back tropical lifestyle much more than I can of a world that is negative, angry, bitter and resentful.

I know this is useless, but I'm voting for the Beatles from here on out. They're simply my least favorite group out of the remaining...

I wouldn't say it's useless. The band that should have won has yet to win. I'm sure there will be enough anit-Beatles voters out there to mount a charge. I won't be one of them, though!
