It'd be nice to see a Bears receiver run a complete route at some point in this game.

Anyone else using the Packers defense in Fantasy?

Damn, like 2 yards from a TD.

"Why don't you call timeout and attempt a hail mary?"

How far defensive backs are able to run with the ball after picking off Jay Cuter would seem to be one reason against.

Having Olsen in a fantasy league because I thought he'd have a breakout season... I'm very disappointed.

Also, this interview with Leno is BRUTAL. Talk about a delay.

Just under 4 minutes to go in the 3rd and GB has a total of 106 yards. So much for that preseason offense.

Looks like that was their "hurry up and quick snap and try to make a free play while they have too many men on the field" play. Or maybe I am giving the Bears too much credit and they are challenging in the hopes to bail themselves out of that horrible play call.

Did the center just accidentally snap to the wrong guy? I don't have any idea what they were thinking

You are correct. Wolfe was definitely not ready for that snap

Mannelly is one of the best long-snappers in the league. No way that was by accident.

There are no words to describe how bad that play call was. Unless, yeah it's an audible that they have when they see the defense has 12 men on the field. Either way, whoever made that call should be looking for another team tomorrow. Just wow.

Looks like you can see the LS make the call on the replay. What an insanely stupid thing to do. I guess I can maybe see the value in trying to pull that if you are in a situation where you might consider fake punting, but you have to know the score and where you are on the field.

Good plan by Culter there to throw between 4 defenders in the hopes they collide and injure each other.

Guys, does anyone have any idea as to when the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" movie is coming out on DVD? Any idea if there are going to be any extras? Like, for example, some new origins or new revelations that weren't in the original?

I figured it be releases sometime in September/October, but I haven't heard anything about it.

Thanks.

Green Bay deserved to win this one, with the bogus illegal contact call letting the Bears to take this one. But that's one hell of a gutsy call.

Didn't think the Bears would do that much this season, but certainly didn't expect this.

The D did what it usually does, but couldn't hold for one play. No clue what Vasher was doing there. And Cutler needs a WR. Any team that has Hester as their number 1 is in serious trouble. He should be a 3, maybe a 2 with an outstanding 1 and young, upcoming WRs.

Don't know if the punt fake was a coach call or a read by the center, but the playcalling on offense overall just plain sucked. It's almost like Ron Turner said, "I'm going to show the world that I can coach a passing team," instead of saying, "Hey, I've got a nice weapon that can be set up by play action. Let's set it up by running Forte and when they stack the box, play action their ass to death."

Oh, and I must say, watching NFL football on DirecTV's RedZone is great. No commercials is almost worth the price of the package.

As much as I hate Cutler I don't think we can really call him a fraud yet. But I do think it's pretty hilarious that he got his "dream move" and then found out just how good Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal were. Good luck throwing to one really fast guy who's still not really a WR and a bunch of scrubs for the rest of the season. I especially liked the commentators talking up how he and Earl Bennett worked so well together at Vanderbilt, followed by Bennett making a complete fool of himself on the next three snaps.

Kyle Orton had the same offense last year and I don't remember him having a game as bad as that. Orton could have ended up with 5 or 6 interceptions if the Packers DBs had better hands.

Well, Cutler did throw for 277 yard and Orton only threw for that many three times last year. Based on passer rating, Orton had three games as bad as Cutler had. But Orton could have had more than that but the Bears wouldn't give him the same rope they gave Cutler. He only threw as many passes as Cutler threw tonight three times. I also disagree that it's the same offense -- the Bears receivers this year are even more inexperienced than they were last year and Orton had been around them for a few years. Cutler is probably twice the QB Orton is in the long run.

That said, Cutler isn't the guy he looked like last year.

I'd say he's Jake Plummer. No RB, WR or QB is ever as good as Mike Shanahan makes you look. I expect Cutler this year statistically to look a lot like Plummer during his Arizona years.

Perhaps. But with Orton as a QB tonight, the Bears win that game.

So I set up the DVR to record the game tonight because I knew I'd be about 30 minutes late and would have a few interruptions throughout the evening. I'm slowly catching up and, despite the completely bullshit Illegal Contact call against Harris, thoroughly enjoying the game.

So imagine my horror when, just after the 2:00 warning, the video stops and I get a message on the screen asking if I wish to delete the recording. That's right, the DVR only allotted 3hrs and 15 minutes for the game, and it stopped recording RIGHT FREAKING THERE.
