I thought I would gave it a try again after I12.

Wow, things have changed....
My Kitana/regen in back to being a kill'n machine.
I was able to go from 41 to 50 in about 50 hours of game time just doing solo street patrols.
After being nerfed into oblivion since I1 it's nice to see them give a little back.

Seeing as how my job and income has become somewhat stable, I might be able to afford the initial $20.00 investment and the $15.00 per month to play. I just tested speeds and am surprised that I'm actually going to have a decent connection to the US Servers.

Anyway, just a heads up for anyone still playing.

I'm looking forward to reactivating and upgrading my previous trial account.

I'm still playing on Victory. I really like what they've done with the game and find it immensely enjoyable. Not this weekend, but next weekend is double XP weekend. It'd be a good time to rejoin.

Sigh...another Double XP weekend where I won't be able to play.

Still playing, low-key solo style. Just how I roll.

BTW, CoH just came out with a Mac client for the game for anyone wanting to try that. Comes with a Mission Teleporter power and a valkyrie costume set. Considering picking that up on my accounts, as it comes with a month of play (the teleporter/costume will be available later w/o the Mac tie-in, but with no play time...getting this version is actually the better deal if you want those goodies).

I have characters on every server now, and am always willing to create a new one (yes I have alt-itis). I mostly solo, but team up with Cuervo from time to time when he's not trying to get his latest character to 50.

Looking at the game from the point of view of a newcomer, I actually find the game to be a bit overwhelming now. There's just so much going on in the game now than when it first started.

I'm back on Victory, plus on other servers with alts. My main character is Super Shamrock, and he's up to lvl 28 now.

Most of my new characters are on Freedom, where there are more chances for teaming.

Can't wait for Issue 14 update, which will have the mission architect.

My goal is to focus on my Mind/kin on Freedom(dodges objects), but if the server gets overloaded(what, Freedom overloaded during 2x exp, no way), then I'll go Virtue first and with some Victory in there as well. Victory is bare compared to when I started there so I'm hoping the 2x exp event picks things up a little.

Thursday nights I try to go the hardcore SG thing on Justice. Outside of that I play at rather inconsistent times.

As per usual for 2x exp weekends, ignore whatever I say my plans are. Virtue and Freedom where the last ones to go up so I went to Victory and stayed there most of the weekend. Got my Plant/storm from 16-22. Ice/ice blaster from 14-28, and took some time on Virtue to level up my DB/sr from 14-20. I forgot he didn't have enhancements so I was trying to get to 22, but got distracted with the Ice/ice.

I knew the DB/sr would be decent so there wasn't much surprise there. Same can be said for Plant/storm. Even though I had really liked the build so far, I think the Ice/ice exceeded what I was thinking how good it was going to be and thus wins the breakout 2x exp weekend build award for me. It was kind of comical to see how well it pulled off being the wannabe controller while facing +4/5s in the right situation. Sure it struggled at some points in playing the build, but then I had to remind myself what I was going up against. For normall teams, it's gonna be awesome.

Heh.

I didn't get a whole lot accomplished. Saturday I went to a hockey game in the morning (a fellow board member's sons, actually), then ate at Ledo's...then ate out AGAIN at Carraba's (wife missed Ledo's). Sunday we went to church, did Daddy/Daughter Girl Scout bowling, and I ended up going to bed early (11PM).

A couple of times when I did go to login, Virtue was grayed out. So I did a mish on Guardian with Orange Laser (yawn), brought out Hot Butter (Axe/Fire Tank) who was grouped on a level 21 Council mish (she's 18) which ran into timer issues, at which point a scrapper unexemped (25) and we were earning no xp.

At least my WM/Shield brute gained a couple levels, my DB/WP scrap gained a couple levels, and I think I might have gotten one on my Ice/MM blaster. But overall no huge leveling progress. Oh well.

Ok, ok. But Mind/Kin specifically I at least do have a 50 (leveled mainly solo, pre-XP smoothing). And I soloed my NRG/Kin corruptor, which certainly SEEMED like about three characters' worth of time...

Got my Ice Controller to 38 (took force bubble Cuervo, not overwhelmed by it) and Necro/poison Zombie Mastermind to 33. Didn't get to play much as I wanted because Saturday was basically a wash with my brother coming over for dinner. But at least I got to team up Cuervo's Lady E.

Getting around the server full issues wasn't so so. I just hit a couple of other servers, and usually about the 4th time I'd return to the list, the busy ones were back to yellow.

Anybody still playing this? I know Champions has probably sucked away some people, but COH has made some great improvements in two areas.

It's now much easier to team up, as Sidekicking and Exemplaring is automatic. Everyone who joins a team is SK'd (or Exemplared) to the level of the leader. Also, you have more flexibility when setting mission difficulty (for example, you can increase the number of villains you fight without increasing their level).

I paid up just for one more month to test it out and it's fun to play all my old characters again.

I also pre-ordered Going Rogue. Dual Pistols is an awesome powerset.
