Exactly. And Kindle can eat Brady. *sighs*

Like that pick for the Jets. That defense is going to be even nastier next year.

Saints might pull the trigger on Kindle if he lasts to them. Williams loves versatile guys that can play multiple positions. (And last year he did play 3-4 from time to time.) The only reason why its questionable is the sudden amount of depth the Saints have at DE now.

Pats could easily finish 3rd in the division at the moment.

Tough to see both McCourty and Wilson go late in Round 1. The Lions need a CB badly.

Other than Patrick Robinson, I don't think there is a corner who I like at 34. That could mean Jahvid Best.

Patrick is a good corner who was left exposed by an inept defensive coaching staff. As long as he is in a good system I think he can really excel in the NFL.

I wonder if there has ever been a first round without a player picked from Ohio State, Notre Dame, Miami, and Florida State.

I guess Clausen or Tate might sneak in, but still...

Detroit ended up with two of the best talents in the draft, Lions looking pretty good in pre pre season.

Running backs getting a nice big bump in this draft. I guess Chris Johnson has the NFL going back away from "you can win with any old scrub at RB" theory again.

People aren't convinced he can read game plans during night games, despite Bezos' assurances to the contrary.

Realistically, I bet they will easily be able to turn it into a 2011 1st rounder tonight. There are going to be a lot of coaches begging their GMs to move up into the top few picks for tomorrow after they review their draft boards.

Rams draft Danario Alexander in round two!

Would like to see him at some point wearing that Ram helmet.

Can't wait to see Sean Weatherspoon this season, even if he is a Falcon.

I wanted SUH, but I can't argue with Bradford, we definitely need a QB.

I know they aren't listed among the "experts" but that's why I thought today's AP wire final mock draft was kind of interesting.

Players they had going in R1 who are undrafted at the moment & where they projected them
OT Bruce Campbell - Maryland (#8 to Oakland)
DE Sergio Kindle - Texas (#16 to Tennessee)
LB Brandon Gibson - Ohio State (#19 to Atlanta)
DE Ricky Sapp - Clemson (#22 to New England)
TE Rob Gronkowski - Arizona (#25 to Baltimore)
DT Brian Price - UCLA (#26 to Arizona)
S Taylor Mays - USC (#27 to Dallas)
QB Jimmy Claussen - ND (#30 to Minnesota)
G Jon Asamoah - Indiana (#31 to Indy)

Actual draftees they didn't have in R1 at all
DT Tyson Alualu - Cal (#10 to Jax)
T Anthony Davis - Rutgers (#11 to SF)
C Maurkice Pouncey - Florida (#18 to Pitt)
CB Kareem Jackson - Alabama (#20 to Houston)
TE Jermaine Gresham - Oklahoma (#21 to Cincy)
WR Dez Bryant - Ok State (#24 to Dallas)
QB Tim Tebow - Florida (#25 to Denver)
CB Devin McCourty - Rutgers (#27 to NE)
LB Jerry Hughes - TCU (#31 to Indy)

Just thought it was interesting to see how close or not close a non-expert selection would get.

Love the Suh pick for the Lions but I'm scratching my head on why they traded up to get Best when none of the teams ahead of them would've likely drafted a running back....

So the Vikings drop four spots from the 1st, gain 28 spots in the 4th and get a 7th. I think that's pretty damn sweet.

I think the issue is teams having all night to sit around their boards and decide if they want to move up. Minnesota still may have gone Best, though unlikely, ya never know.

For basically swapping 4th's, I'll take it.

But go ahead, you can tell me why you don't think McCourty is a 1st rou...oh wait, no please tell me why he "sucks" which I assume to mean he isn't worthy of being selected before the 4th round or so (I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on that one).

Well duh, I was poking a little fun at myself and the prior conversation. I only saw like 2 mock drafts with McCourty even in the first round. And my hard on is that the RU secondary consistently got used over the past few seasons (especially when the pass rush doesn't force the issue) and the twins were at the helm. I always thought they weren't really starting caliber type DBs, but apparently coach Schiano did.

Gotta love Carroll passing on Taylor Mays in the first round. Poor Taylor, shouldnt have listened to your coach last year, he didnt have Sanchez's best interest and he didn't have yours either. Too bad Sanchez wasn't an idiot

This is my favorite Raiders first round pick in a few years at least. Looking back now and especially with what is there heading into the second round, I think they made the best possible pick.

And I mean that in regards to the talent still available at OT and DT, the Raiders two biggest needs along with Claussen still there.

Hopefully they don't screw this 2nd rounder up and go with one of Bruce Cambell, Roger Saffold, Charles Brown, Claussen David Price and Terrance Cody.
