Yeah. I think that's largely because PS4 won't be BC, and I'd expect that to be true of PSN titles as well.

Decent read about the climate for the next-gen consoles. I was honestly a bit shocked that the PS3 has basically reeled in the 360 on global sales. I didn't think it was that close. It'll be interesting to see how this gen plays out with them starting at the same time this time around. It's pretty clear the Wii U isn't going to be a player in this battle.

For the next gen I think I'll end up doing the same thing I did this generation of consoles and end up getting the Wii U and PS4. I play most of my games on PC so the only deciding factor for me is what exclusives a system has. The PS4 reveal had a few games that look interesting to me, and they blew Microsoft away in the last generation for me. Off the top of my head I can really only think of 2 exclusive titles on the 360 that I really would have liked to play.

I'm currently playing Bayonetta on my PS3 and it's one of those games that reminds me why it's worthwhile for me to have a console even if it might go unused for months at a time. It's an absolutely phenomenal game and with Bayonetta 2 and another Platinum game being Wii U exclusive along with the first party games Nintendo will put out I'll definitely pick up a system once available titles hit critical mass and the price is right.

I have no intention of purchasing a new console any time soon. The likeliest scenario I can foresee is that my oldest kid (currently 4) eventually convinces me to get a Wii U in a year or two if he ends up with friends in school that have them or something. I'd rather play games on my PC or a tablet at this point in my life.

I'm with you.. and I've always bought the latest console on the market. I just have too many console games that I'm still playing and have really been playing a TON of Steam games on my new pc.

Same here, I won't be picking anything up until after the first price drop. My stack of unfinished PS3 games still has more than the one for games I've beaten, plus I still haven't picked up Ni No Kuni and Beyond: Two Souls and The Last of Us look like they're gonna be really good.

Nintendo Flexing Copyright Clout on YouTube Let's Play Channels - gamefront.com | gamefront.com

Looks like another bad decision from Nintendo. I've bought a bunch of games that I've either heard about or was convinced to pick up by YouTube videos by monetized partners. If I had to guess those who make their income from YouTube videos probably aren't going to be putting up too many videos or Nintendo games for free.

Not surprising, but Grim Dawn looks to be Titian's Quest 2.0.

Utterly backasswards.

next Xbox: "Upload your lets play videos without needing any special software straight from the box!"

Next Playstation: "Upload your lets play videos without needing any special software straight from the box!"

Next (current) Wii: Fuck you. We don't make it easy, and we're going to inject our ads into your stuff.

(then again, I guess Ninteno does need the free advertising.. with the current Wii U install base, they'll make what, $50? $100 in free advertising?)

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance confirmed for PC • News • PC • Eurogamer.net

Being I just played and loved Bayonetta this is great news to see Platinum games on PC.

Hope it means we'll see MGSV on PC as well.

Certainly a complete reversal from last gen where they went with 360 so they wouldn't be running XBox 2 against PlayStation 3.

Which is a dead ringer for what has been on the current Xbox for quite a while.

Anyone else notice that he talked about focus on gamers, shows no game stuff, then immediately goes to TV, movies, IE, Skype, etc. Somebody screwed up on the focus on gamers part.

It's seemed for a while that this system would be built more around the living room entertainment experience than games. Could be a winning strategy against the PS4, but not really one I'm all that interested in.

I might have misunderstood it, but I think the games will be gone into more in-depth at E3 in a couple of weeks.

LOL.....they led off by bragging they're partnering with EA???? Have they not seen the news of late? If the console companies start buying into this kind of stupid, we're in big trouble.

Uh, having 4x the calculations and 10x the detail does not mean the AI will react any better. They actually have to be properly programmed to do that.

I just saw XBox update their FB page with a graphic, caption reads "Introducing the all-in-one entertainment system".

I can't think of much else they could say to make this less interesting or appealing to me.

I want to play games on my console. I have pretty much zero interest in channeling my entire recreational life through it.

New Remedy series could be exciting. I wanted to like Alan Wake a lot more than I did, but the gameplay didn't live up to the story elements. And then there were the two awful DLCs that was mostly more bad gameplay and then beat you over the head with the meaning of the storyline that was picked up through the main game.
