I welcome dialogue with Chubby, but until he gets a little more rational and stops chasing shadows that may not happen.
Anyone else have questions? |

dola: If someone had it day one and already passed it they should come clean with who they passed it to.
It's clear that the NK is the last thing that happens each night phase so we can work out a strategy for each pass. |

Going to jump on FM and then get some sleep. Will check in tomorrow. Hopefully by the the person with the mistletoe will come forward and if there were any passing of the object. If not we can assume that a wolf has it.

Meh. Sucky first days suck.
For the benefit of Racer I live in Sweden and go to bed around 4:30 EST. So I have to decide where to leave my vote early every day. And yeah, if there's no villager with an explanation of what happened in the vote we have to assume that it was a wolf action. Whether that action was to take out another villager and frame Danny at the same time (a la Jungle Book) or to save him remains to be seen but it doesn't look good for him. |

And like Hoops and Autumn I would probably have moved my vote to save Danny because I don't see any rhythm or reason in voting out one of our best villagers on day one.
Seems like Chubby's misinterpretation of Lathum's comments have grabbed most of the rest of attention here. |

Mckerney and Bug's votes are bogus but you can only really interpret them if we know if they were around the last couple of hours. I don't think I can see past Danny have two votes which would explain his hopping around. I guess Chubby moved his vote because he believed Lathum was the duke and he didn't want to be duked as second vote-getter.

How is it not bogus? You're avoiding committing your vote which makes it seem that you're scared how people will interpret it, which is a pretty tell-tale sign of a wolf. |

If you're going to leave your vote on someone who isn't a candidate then you might as well not bother voting.
Ignoring Chubby's bickering at Lathum and the Danny situation® I think mau looked like he was having to deliberate waaaay too much for making a vote at that stage of the game. I know I can get worked up about voting when I'm a villager but something seemed off there. (posts 270-275). Seems like as good a place to look as anywhere else, other than Danny. Vote mauboy If Danny is bad I think we would do well to look at DV as well. |

Hmm, I've got the mistletoe - thought I was pretty transparent with my hints earlier - so I'm confused by these comments. I wanted to trust the person who came forward saying they had the mistletoe, but these comments don't make it easy for me to extend that trust blindly. Also, I likely won't be around much at all today so I'm not sure how I'll collaborate on this. I'll try to take my laptop with me over lunch so I can sneak a peek at what EF's plan might be, and maybe get in an early vote. |

If this is the case then I'm leaning towards thinking that the person with the double vote comes forward, otherwise we're left with the fact that some mechanism that no-one wants to own up to (ie very likely wolfy) saved Danny. I think we need the information unless it's Thor. (can't be Balder or Odin I presume). |

Hoops admitting he has the mistletoe makes me feel a bit of trust in him. But as he might have presumed that it was handed to him by a villager who'd reveal the fact later it's not a huge amount of trust.

Well you could try actually telling us stuff instead of just making cryptic comments all the time. Did you pass the mistletoe to Hoops? Did you pass the mistletoe to Dubb? Did you forget to give an order for the mistletoe? I think those are the three explanations I can think of. |

Was unexpectedly out for much of yesterday and am catching up now and have not read past this post so I don't know what happens. Just to do the math, because I think it's important in a situation like this, assuming 5 wolves in a 21 person game, with 4 candidates there is a only a 66% chance that one of the 4 candidates is a wolf. |

Day 1 Voting (as of Post 340):
Danny 7: ntndeacon (80), Telle (205), jeheinz72 (217), dubb93 (238), Racer (307), EagleFan (308), Zinto (320) EagleFan 6: Barkeep49 (75), hoopsguy (97), Autumn (174), J23 (276), Chubby (344), Danny (346) Chubby 4: bhlloy (117), Darth Vilus (236), mauboy1 (273), Lathum (309) Lathum 2: Narcizo (90), Thomkal (224) ntndeacon 1: mckerney (94) Zinto 1: MrBug708 (134) *Autumn -1: I have two confirmed good on me at this point. In the event I am the lynch choice today, I would definitely look at the rest of those voters on me as there has to be at least one wolf I would think. |

It's bogus to me. I try not to move my D1 vote, but when there is a 4 person race on d1 and your vote isn't on any of them surely you can find one of those 4 who you wouldn't mind voting for.

There's an 80% chance of at least one of the remaining players on you being a wolf. Of course there's an 80% chance of at least 1 of any group of 5 people left in the game of being a wolf. But that said I agree that since wolves like to spread their votes one of the players on you is a wolf. I think this is true regardless of whether you're a wolf or not. |

Yeah McKerney your reasoning is odd. It is too important not to have a throw away vote any day of the game since it is too hard to get a read on later.

I do not know what to make of the results of yesterday. I do not remember anything that Dubb said that would make him the night kill target. Danny surviving the lynch is also odd but I think we have covered most of the bases/theories of what could have happened.

I am thinking that the best course of action is to vote for Danny or one of the Eagle voters. Danny since it clears up yesterdays late movements and such. One of the Eagle voters since he ended up being the lynch victim and I always assume there is at least one wolf there.

I am going to vote someone who is on me. Looking at the list I most suspect the late voters, Jeheinz, Racer and Zinto. I rarely if ever get day 1 votes and I think the wolves took the chance to jump on me after a couple probably a couple of villagers got the ball rolling. |

I'm not understanding your thinking Danny. If you're a villager then it was villager-villager so why are later voters on you suspicious? I would imagine Heinz and Racer aren't aware of your rep - if anything I'd be most suspicious of ntn.
Particularly if you're a wolf. |

He's taken some time off, but I played quite a few games with Jeheinz before. ntn isn't a bad choice, I may look at that more. I think Telle was probably just mad at me for calling her Autumn vote ridiculous. I have a feeling in this, the wolves made middle vote (probably on EF too, and Lathum if he is a villager) to help set some pretty strong villagers as the primary candidates. |

Alright given that the wolves had to submit their kill I think we can assume they knew that Danny wasn't going to be lynched. Killing dubb, whether to frame Danny or remove suspicion upon him, doesn't seem to make sense unless they knew Danny was going to continue to be in the game. As I like to think that the simplest explanation is frequently the correct one, I feel like Danny is a wolf and they killed dubb to remove someone who can be dogged in his pursuit of people.

From a logical stand point, I agree with everything here. I am the smart lynch choice, but if I am lynched, I would look hard at my voters on day 1. I think there is a good chance of being two wolves on me. |
