How do they determine injury timeouts versus charging a team for one?

Looks like one of the Jets strategies today was to fake an injury whenever NE went to the hurry up . This is like the 3rd or 4th time.

Bart Scott showing why he is a team leader. After the last drive, the defense is probably still winded.

It actually helps the Pats, as multiple plays can be called in advance, saving time.

It's the NFL. Score here and recover the onside or stop them in a 3-and-out and they can win.

Why don't the Pats go ahead and kick the FG, saving themselves time? They need two scores anyway.

Saw that miss coming. Kickers don't like to be rushed.

Good thing it didn't count.

I don't think Belicheck was thinking about OT. I think he is thinking about TD, onsides, TD, WIN.

That was a bad decision by Brady. A few yards doesn't help you and the receiver had no shot to get out of bounds. Should have just thrown it away so they could have kicked the FG on the right side of the 2 minute warning.

Why rush before the 2 min warning? You make the kick the next play is a kickoff where the clock stops after anyway.

Good thing he picked it up cleanly. If he would have bobbled it or kicked it, he would be all over sportscenter this week for not falling on the ball.

Jets in the AFC Championship for the second straight year. Sanchez, for all of his faults, is now 4-1 in the playoffs.

I agree. The Jets seemed to play a really simple gameplan - don't make silly mistakes, run the ball, take away the middle. The Patriots, about the opposite. The fact they even felt the need to run a fake punt was a bad omen.

Anyone else hope Rex Ryan's post game interview involves mentioning watching video, watching tape, mentions of cameras?

Hell of an effort, boys. For all of futility, all of the years that you only looked forward to games when they played the Dolphins and always won...I'll take being the team everyone hates for a while.

Yeah I don't really dislike any player on the Jets, I just get tired of the us against the world attitude every week. Look you're a really good team I don't disrespect your talent at all I just think you are annoying because bitch all the time about being disrespected. Of course we thought the 14-2 Patriots would probably win at home, that's disrespect?

I am a huge Tomlin fan, so either way it's no great loss to me. I didn't expect them to get past Peyton and Tom in back to back weeks.

But I feel like after last year coming so close, they're ready to get the monkey off their backs for the entire franchise.
