Now we have to rely on Giants offense. That's clearly a recipe for success right there.

Rollins swinging first pitch again... On a pitcher having trouble finding the zone yet...

I hate umps who call balls/strikes based on the catcher's movement. That pitch was a strike, but he called it inside simply because Posey was set up outside and moved his glove to catch it.

It's relatively undertandable with a pitcher that has been wild though. Not that it's right but it's understandable.

Well, time for Casillas to find his way back to the bottom rung of the bullpen.

I don't like the odds of the Giants getting those 2 runs back however. 3-2 ballgame would sound a whole lot better.

The Giants have yet to score 5 runs in this postseason. Shit, I don't remember the last time they scored 5 runs at all. Relax, Philly fans.

I feel dirty for rooting for the Phils. I hope this means I dont have an urge to throw up on a kid. All the same, it's only for the NLCS.

Why did he throw home there? Torres is fast, and it lets Huff get on 2b. Weird.

Blanton pitched well despite the three runs. For a contact pitcher, our offense needs to give him support (hopefully 4 runs was enough).

So having not seen much of the Philly pen, is it fair to say Madson and Lidge are the relief aces, Contreras the veteran junkballer (aka Giants killer), and everyone else mediocre? Or are kendrick, bastardo, Romero et all decent?

10-9 loss to Colorado on 9/25
13-10 win over Chicago on 9/23 was the last time they scored 5+ & won.

6 other times in the months of September (9/4, 7, 9 , 12, 16, 19)

Romero can have control issues. Madson is easily the most consistent.

Grazi - that Col series when Coors was back for a weekend. But I don't like their odds here of keeping the Phillies quiet and scoring 2 runs.

It's much easier to get pissed at bad calls by the ump when you're behind.

Kendrick is spotty but wasmostly a starter. If his sinker is on he should be good for picking up a needed double play. He is either very hit or very miss though.

Durbin is a decent situational guy as well. He generally does well but his numbers are inflated because he had a few games where he was just awful.

Romero is a bit wild for my taste but a good left hander for picking up a needed strkeout.

Madson can be flat out nasty and has been on for the past couple months.

Lidge has been doing well for the past couple months as well but does have a habit of making games a little more nerve wrecking than needed. If he can spot his slider then he is trouble for hitters.

Conteraras has been solid and has seen sme 8th inning situational work (if there is a righty that will be followed by lefties that they plan on bringing Romero in for; so they don't waste Madson for one batter).

Bastardo, I am assuming that he is only on the roster to have another lefty out of the pen. I will have to hide my eyesif he comes in.

Okay. Put Nate out there to PR.

I'm sure Boch is going to take Burrell out for defense anyways.
