I don't really think it'll be unconstitutional, but I do think it'll be viewed as GOP.
Who knows that might help us for being more bipartisan? |

I don't know what a soothsayer is exactly. Is the power a once a day deal? One sentence can be analyzed? Whole post?

I agree with this. I think Chubby, if you say that you're doing this as a show of good faith to the Repubs, you'll be able to get away with proposing a Democratic bill tomorrow. I say go for it. |

If it is too GOP, it could conceivably hurt Henry in reelection.

it is once a day the soothsayer can select one player and pick a post from that player and be told if that player was being truthfull.
There is usualy a limitation on the post, so for example you can't select " I am a wolf" as a statement. But if someone says " I am the seer and I scanned Chiefrum night 1" you can see if they are being honest. I think it is a way better role then the duke. |

I thought we were still doing the Seer Communication bill? I thought that was just plan B if it got nixed by CR, but since we aren't waiting, we were just going to post it anyway. I say we do the Duke/Soothsayer bill(s) tomorrow.

include something like "confirm the validity of one players statement unless that statement directly refers to that player being a wolf"

Any thoughts from the experts on Tyrith's suggestion to take out the PM part and just allow the seerspeaker to also know the results?

I think it hurts the bill. I like the fact the seerspeaker can send 1 PM, that way they can make suggestions on who to scan. Tyrith is pinging me, it seems he is trying to make this bill not work. |

As I've been out of the loop most of the day, did that get confirmed with CR? I know we ran yesterday's by him, did we do that today?

Is this pretty much it?
Be it resolved: The role of Soothsayer is hereby created. The Soothsayer will be one person, selected at random from among those who are not members of the Wolf Party and do not already have a special role as created by a previous Act of Congress. Once per day, the Soothsayer will be able to select one sentence from any post and request that divine providence (Chief Rum or oliegirl) reveal whether the statement is true or false. The Soothsayer may not select a statement that directly refers to whether or not the poster is functionally a wolf or a villager (e.g. "I am a wolf"). |

can someone do a vote check on wolf votes?
What is our plan as a party for wolf vote? Not being online most of the day I read thru quick so I'm assuming the clap votes were retailiating against his KWhit vote (which is fine) but is that still the direction we want? It's pretty clear the Repubs are targetting henry both in his congressional race and as a wolf vote |

Am I missing something here or are we leaving henry's nose wide open and putting us down a man in the process? |

screw it, I just voted KWhit in the game thread.
We need to remove him from power tomorrow based on his actions today so I say we may as well try and lynch him. My only thought is the wolves are gonna try and decimate one party early on. |

If that is your plan then that is your plan but we aren't going to vote him out tonight, there's simply not enough time. I think trying to tie the vote between clap and henry is far more beneficial to the party. Putting your vote on kwhit now is only going to hurt henry tonight. |
