Nope, that is a fair point. But trying to get a handle on playing styles, as a wolf or villager, is part of the game. And so is putting pressure on quieter players when there isn't something terribly tangible to work against. I'm out for a couple of hours, but as long as my daughter goes to bed at a reasonable time I'll be around for the deadline tonight. |

Was wondering if that had anything to do with my access to this board. Every time I click go to first new post it takes me to posts about 3 days ago (about the time I upgraded). |

It is a very solemn day. The hunt goes normally and Akela leads you in taking down a wildebeest and a family of bunnies that were hiding eggs. You eat the bunnies and the eggs too. A good day in all. And then matters turn to something more important.
bunny cute (400x257).jpg YUM! Akela howls his call and you all respond and head towards the field near the rock for a grim task. A burial plot has been made up for your fallen brother Danny. He lays there covered by stones, only his tail sticks out. Akela sings a line in an ancient wolf tongue, then continues, "This brother was one of our own and it only befits us to send him into the spirit world with our good wishes. Please, if we could have some of our brothers step forward and eulogize his passing. We shall start with you." He indicates the first wolf on the right. Everyone looks at the wolf and waits for him to say something. He does not. He just stares straight ahead with a blank look on his face. He wears a tag which reads "Gonzo". "Come now. Please say a few words." Akela looks at the wolf and nudges him. The wolf falls over. Akela sniffs the wolf and steps on him. His claw rips into him and white stuffing comes out. wolftimberfm.jpg "Why this is not a wolf! There's nothing inside. Why, This is a stuffed animal! Who brought this? And to think I actually was going to vote for him." The stuffed wolf is mended and given to the wolf cubs. They are teething so they tear it apart. Shreddings go everywhere. The stuffed Animal known as Gonzo was a vanilla villager. [At this point, Gonzo has been MIA from the FOFC site for almost two days and I am just removing him. Everyone else I had asked does not have time for the game or never got back to me so I don't think it makes any sense to replace one MIA with another. He never factored much into the game thus far anyway.] Akela continues, "Now where were we? Oh, yes. Let us all remember Danny." Everyone has a good cry and a howl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L28CnhmeAD4 353753310_1ed04f694c (250x188).jpg [Now is the time when you all step forward and say all the nice things about playing with Danny.] Last edited by CrimsonFox : 04-19-2011 at 07:26 PM. |

Well, DT, just trying to get you involved. A lot of us are busy during the day for certain, but too often people coast through games as wolves without saying much and then there's very little to analyze them on.
Any thoughts on other candidates? |

Aside from the Telle/Autumn duo who put two quick votes on me? I'd look there for starters - wouldn't surprise me if autumn was a wolf seizing on telle's putting me forward - even though there were a lot of candidates at that point it would be a good way to get someone up to 2...

FYI - I'm going to be gone basically all day tomorrow. I have a 6am flight to Chicago and land back here in Boston at 7pm. I should make it home in time to catch up between 8 and 9 and get a vote in, but just thought I should let everyone know that.

I think people might be looking at the results of the D1 voting and seeing you on mckerney and taking that to be that you stayed out of making a tough decision. Also it's easy to point at the people that are voting for you and say "they must be wolves", I know that's how we all usually feel, but there's a lot more villagers left than wolves. Granted people have been casting suspicion at Autumn so that might not be the worst place to look. Telle has been fairly defensive of a couple of people if I recall, which is interesting without having any hard info to go on. |

Of course. You know me - hell sometimes I don't even vote in self-defense, preferring to take the sure vanilla villager loss. Just felt like the Telle/Autumn/You interplay was pretty quick there in vaulting me from zero votes to vote-leader, particularly with not a lot to back it up (not that after one day there would be).

Was a bit of a run to be sure. I guess I shouldn't speak for them, I was just looking for a different direction than PF since he revealed, and wanted to see what would happen if you were put up. So far, not much, mau is getting a little heat but doesn't appear to be anyone jumping to save you.

I'm not opposed to an autumn vote. He's a great villager but great villagers usually make tough wolves to nail. And while lathums play seems a little out there to me I don't think he'd be harping so hard on someone if he was a wolf, so it might be a legitimate feeling, and he was onto JAG too wasnt he?

Oh - just a vague feeling. Okay...nothing to reinforce my data point.
I liked Telle's point about bhlloy - and then noticed autumn jumping to the defense of bhlloy...which was interesting. |

These few posts still scream "wolf" to me. The first one happened two minutes before deadline and the second one happened two minutes after deadline. It sounds like a wolf who knows whats about to go down. It doesn't sound like a duke who knows what's about to go down. unvote autumn vote packerfan I say if he's the duke, save yourself tonight and off me, a vanilla villager. If you're not the duke we can save the duke for another night for the real duke. |

Very interesting point mauboy. Very interesting. Particularly since he came out and revealed today. Then again, if he's not the duke don't we presume that the true duke would duke the vote to him tonight anyways?

I'm thinking if he is fake revealing the real duke should just come out and say it. If you're going to use it to kill him tonight you lose your ability anyway and become a regular villager at that point. Am I wrong on this point?

Which obviously if no one comes out and says something I'll go ahead and once again unvote him and take one for the team as a plain villager.

I am not really happy with the fact that there are 7 or 8 people with votes on them currently. We need to see some condensing of these votes.

I don't see anywhere good to go with this vote, after the PF reveal. I suspect one of Lathum or Autumn is a wolf who put a meaningless vote on JAG (which may have ended up not being meaningless) and that's why they are at each other's throats again.
Lathum is playing a wierd game. This feels like the game where he was a wolf and just tried to cause as much confusion in the first few days as possible. A vote for a new candidate yesterday 50 mins before the deadline, and then a meaningless switch right at the deadline? Mauboy is all over the place, but that just seems to be the way he plays and I don't see a good reason to push him further out in front at this point. I'm gonna go with my hunch and throw something out there. Not introducing Lathum at this late hour so vote Autumn |

It's not odd at all. If you've been following along you'd see that a vote for J23 was predicated on the idea that he was trying to save PF. If PF is not a wolf, a vote for J23 doesn't make sense. You've been really active, EF, it's hard to believe you don't know this. |

I don't see a good reason to vote for the duke unless they counter-revealed. If they're still alive in a day or two, we can test the theory then and have some voting records to look at if it's a fake.
I guess I just don't see the Autumn thing. It seems like people are just following Lathum, who's been all over the map (though he did pick JAG out somehow). I'm guessing lightning doesn't strike twice. DT's comments tonight don't strike me as suspicious, so I'm going w/ the other 2 vote candidate. vote dwardzala |
